Need help dealing with a fuel leak
Rocket replied to bobcat's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Sounds like a sticking float, or apiece of crud on the needle valve seat. Try tapping the carb with the handle of a screwdriver. I have done this once, to the slider cover & it had stopped. -
You're 10 degrees higher than me, sitting at a high of 5 below, today..............

How do I bleed brakes
Rocket replied to Sandbagger's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Need to bleed both, that is the Antidive on the front of the fork tubes. -
I figured that you got slammed again, no biggie......... With you making this post, we can assume you are still alive (no recent pics for proof).

Also DonB (supporting member) was doing this as well, but was having trouble finding a chip source. Don't think he has had any luck yet, on getting a source.

The stator for 83 -93 Venture & 85 - 03 Vmax is the same. As for instructions look at this thread. [ame=http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=41037]Stator Replacement - VentureRider.Org[/ame] -
It needs to be powered through a relay, from the battery. You will burn out the horn switch without a relay........ Nope, I have one stock horn still hooked up to mine.

I was thinking the same thing, when I first read it.............. :rotfl:

Oh..I can see what the members are going to say here

That floater Bra, is just you, as well.....:rotf: -
I think that is only part of the bike frame & almost looks like a bracket that is welded to it.
-
A mass harley hunt in the future, I think.... Just maybe, they will save a little icecream for you, at the stop.....:rotf:

Oh Oh, it's starting to stick, not good at all................. :snow:

It was leaking for over a year, btw how big is the oil spot on the trailer?????? Good, it needs to be done, maybe just trailer it over to your dealer, their estimate will probably be better, than the estimate from Cody & it will be done this year. "This old bird is rarely allowed out without adult supervision." For good reason too......
-
To the high Artic with him (maybe northern Alberta will do), see how much he likes it then..........

Have not used anything on the linkage, aside from grease on the arm's main pivot point. Did ok on the year round, Mill Bay - Victoria commutes. I had rode in some real good downpours, riding over the Malahat.

Paint it Black........ Vmax style.

Ok Adam....... Did you see anything in my previous, about it even sticking.....
