  1. More likely, assisting his wife, as she is better at mechanics, than Rick is................. :rotf:
  2. Depends on if "Wrongway" is heading there or not.... :rotf:
  3. Kerry offered me his scoot, so "I could get wet too"..... He seems to forget, I have good rain gear, that keeps me dry. I should have the stator next week, as I did not need the overnight delivery (like the Cody meet). Not sure if we will be going that far East, on this years trip. But will be hitting Cody again, as ts still more to see there & Grump wants to go to Granny's resturant again.
  4. It was a mostly dry ride yesterday, with the exception of Hope - Chilliwack & getting off the ferry last night. There was also Chilliwack - Abbotsford traffic grid lock as well, causing a 2 hour delay. So the scoot & I got a ride for the last 50 Km from Victoria on a tilt deck truck (fading headlight from the stator problem & lots of rain). Put the battery on the charger today & it was greater than 60% discharged.

I will be razzing Cupcake in person & meeting up with Gunboat in Aug or Sept (no firm timeline).
  6. Go for the suction first, as there could be a lot of air from the bleeder changeout. Also get a plastic turkey baster, file or cut off the ridge off the very bottom & discard the squeeze bulb. Thread the baster tube into the filler hole & you will have more fluid capacity for bleeding. I usually fill the tube up, when doing a brake flush.
  7. Wayne, I have recently ordered 2 of the Ricks Motorsport Electrics stators Product # (21-405H) New Hot Shot Yamaha Stator Description New Hot Shot Yamaha Stator: This is a high output stator; will give about 20% more output. http://ricksmotorsportelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=21-405H&pmc=ODhZYW1YVloxMzAwVmVudHVyZQ== One was ordered last week as a backup, for the next long distance / duration trip. The second one was ordered today, after my stator failure on the 86 this weekend. I made it over 1,000 Km, before getting a ramp truck late last night for the last 50 Km to home. BTW my readings were 2 legs in the 11 Volt AC range & 1 leg in the 8 Volt AC range.

Mine is a 5 pin round connector & I have it tapped directly into the wiring harness, as it is all LED (with the execption of the licence plate light). I have towed it about 13,ooo miles so far, with no problems, due to my hook up. The only lighting problem I have had, was someone cutting the wiring harness in two, during one of our stops.
  9. To be only be used by a select few, Nina, Laura & Janet are amongst those few.........
  10. If I remember correctly, we have/had a member in the NL in addition to our other European members.
  11. If you are looking in this group, you're looking in the wrong place. That is unless, you can get one of the kids, to route the new plumbing & you hook up in a more accessable area.
  12. Nope, they are on part of the Base, not next to it. The fence is to keep them in, their areas, as there is 4 paddocks for the herd. I have had BBQ bison meat in Wainwright, as there was the occasional slaughter & meat sales from the kitchen. There is also cattle in parts of the training area. They sometimes block the road & give you a dumb look when you hit the air horn (kind of like cage drivers at times). But I have never hit, or run any over.
  13. First time that I know of, that I have been called that by a guy. Did Mary, put you up to saying that??? I know, she is coming to Nelson, with you. I had previously said, I would give you a hand if you had a problem, now I will be coming over with a few things, for this task.
  14. I have one of these & modded it to grab the inside ridge on the rims. So I can do both front & rear tires. Been using it for about 3 years now. It is still fun with the tires as it is not bolted down in the driveway. Been thinking of having a receiver hitch attachment welded on, use an hitch extention, so I can anchor it to the truck
  15. I thought that I have seen Dwarfs, taller than you, Mini.
  16. I'm very sure that we didn't & we were there for a few days, as well.
  17. Guess it is the only way, for him to get served Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner in bed. I would have chosen something, other than hospital food, though.
  18. He should know better, to avoid Crash Landings , but at least the scoot is safe. On the healing.
  19. As I said before, it is part of the J&M YV-41 install kit. The noise filter connected across the 2 screws in front of the Accy fuse. I know this, as I still need to re-install mine, after changing fuse blocks myself, on my 83. I wonder who added the CB to yours, many CBs on these early ones are aftermarket, some have retro fitted Mk2 CBs into Mk1 scoots (Marcarl comes to mind).
  20. First off go Garmin GPS. When they RMA a 3.5 yr old (and older units) GPS @ no cost, that means something about customer service. Good site to compare models http://www.gpscity.ca/, they also carry RAM Mounts as well. Kevin, if you seen the pics of the scoot, after killing the deer. I had removed the still powered up Garmin, out of the RAM Mount on the left handlebar, about 5 hours after the accident (just after getting out of Hospital). That RAM Mount held the GPS secure, in a 60 MPH collision & aftermath.
  21. Looks like the J&M noise filter for the Amp to Headset interface cable YV-41 kit. It just connects between power & ground.
  22. Crush washer no problem, but the gasket, if you greased it, prior to install, yup. Otherwise it may tear, so it can be iffy, on re-useing it.........
  23. Nope KIC, the 83s are Neutral indicator only, he will need a newer model switch, that also has the gear position contacts as well. Location is just below the clutch slave cylinder.
  24. Maybe, made a big block of ice, with them in it????
  25. Do you still have the Email, to verify???? Probably him, as I did his renewal last year. Remember he don't do Paypal, so he gets others to make payment for him. He needs his full site access fix. He stalked me in a Scarbourgh parking lot, late at night (Spot in tracking mode). After leaving Marcarls, heading East, to Grump's cousin's place. He gave me $20. to do his site renewal for him, during our after midnight meeting. It was good to see him again, but surprising to see him out at that time of night.
