    Sounds like you may have dropped one leg, out of three, of the stator. Last year in Cody WY, we priced out stators from the local Yammi Dealer $600. Got 2 stators from Dennis Kirk @ $133. Each (had to repair 2 bikes) We went with the Ricks Motorsport Electrics, as the other make has a spotty durability record. This had good charging, from just above idle speed. BTW we got them overnighted in & installed them the next day. 2 sets of gaskets were overnighted in, from the Yammi dealer (stator cover & middle gear cover). Another option is to contact Buckeye Performance & get a re-wound stator, but this usually takes longer. I waited 1.5 months for mine, prior to the PIP & Cody trip. Had I known, about the Ricks Motorsport Electrics stator beforehand, I would have probably gone that route. As it sucks, to cage it while waiting for a stator, to arrive.

    Rick, the closest to you is http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/retail_stores.taf?f=detail&Retail_Store_ID=279 Check with motor Vehicle Branch, about kit trailers first. Go down for the weekend in the cage (48 Hr personal exemption might apply), bring it back & then assemble it.

    The current plan for painting, is at the PIP location this year. Guess I need to think of a way to keep the kit bag, from wearing off the new paint, from the top of the saddle bags.

    But you're enjoying that sooo much...... Remember Scotty, I was riding at the start of this year, as home turf is on the wet coast. But then I had to come back to work, on the frozen praries.

    Phone was off & on the charger in my room, while at work today. I had a phone on me, but it is the Duty Cell from work. My phone is now on.

    An alternate upper bleed point, is the banjo bolt for the flex line. It is not as easy to get at it, but try accessing it from the top, to see if you can get a wrench on it. If not the right upper fairing will probably need to come off, to get at it.

    Headlight is off, because it is always parked & never ridden............. They have known for well over a year, as I have been in contact with them, when I discovered the problem. I had also tried out their relay only unit too, with the same results. I left them both on Vancouver Island, when I went back home at Xmas. Get your fork seals changed, so you can ride it......

    I have one & it will not work with a 1st Gen.... As both high & low beams are powered when on high beam..... But the Kisan Pathblazer unit will.

    Yup, the metal line coming from the rear master..... Brake fluid will eat though ABS plastic, so put rags below to catch any spillage..... The other pic showed an air line for the front forks.

    This sounds about right, for you 2. Would you be able to survive, these Northeren Alberta winters, that I have suffered through. Even though this one was not as bad, with sending as much snow as possible, down to the Southern States.....

    You have air trapped at the connection point, by the steering neck. There is no bleeder there (83-85 AKA Mk1), you will probably need to "crack" the line there too, as you would do a bleeder, to vent the air. Also don't forget the left fork tube antidive, as that is hydraulically activated by the rear brake. Sometimes it takes quite some time, to get the air all out.
