  1. Smells like a scam to me.
  2. I think I have some 160 grit around here, for anyone desperate enough. Hmmm a prank for at work, a roll of sandpaper in place of the single ply TP.
  3. I like that idea.......
  4. Bring her over to next years International meet, sounds like a Ripping good time. Possible chili cook off, in the making?????
  5. Not really...... But nice to see, that she is enjoying her scoot.
  6. At least it wasn't a large Black Owl. As it seems, he has gone AWOL. I got the same look, when I didn't have the tools, for changing out fork seals, at PIP.
  7. Cracked solder joints on the CMS, usually where it plugs into the wiring harness. Re-soldering usually fixes it right up. Info should be in 1st gen tech library. Many of us, replaced the main power cables (power to starter & ground to battery), with 4 gauge wires. I just did my 86 last weekend.
  8. Wasn't Marcarl the official meat supplier, to the entire reign of the Roman Empire...... :rotf::rotf::rotf:
  9. Which would be worse, the bear or the snow????
  10. That means, I could be related to you & Don (mom's side of the family)........... I was having a good day, prior to reading this.
  11. The roads, parking lots are clear here & it has warmed up to 6*C today. So I may take the scoot out for dinner tonight. Seeing the other day, I wiped most of the snow off the scoot & today the rest should have melted.
  12. Same here. I have a dash from an 84 parts bike without CLASS & rubber booted rear shock.
  13. Bob, both has the damping adjustment, but the standard also has a hole for the schrader valve installation. Big differance between the standard & royale is the CLASS & rear shock. Royale rear shock has an external spring on the outside at the bottom half & standard shock has a rubber boot cover. Also what is the model shown on the frame sticker, down under the clutch & waterpump. It should be XVZ12 _ _ _ (probably 3 letter suffix) this will help clear things up.
  14. Good thing for you, Nina is not on this site. Otherwise, she would have a few thing to say, about this statement.
  15. 83-85 has a rubber tunnel & glass in front of the headlight. 86-93 it is a headlight only. So, by the sounds of it, you are looking for a headlight unit.
  16. Probably too slowww..... :rotf:

  18. That is when he got his Trial Membership, but he became a supporting member the other day (as per his post).
  19. Right behind Soupy Sales.......
  20. I have the EBC rotors on my 83 & got them at Dennis Kirk, Here is the link for the ENC rotor from there. http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp?skuId=195298&store=Main&catId=&productId=p194765&leafCatId=&mmyId=11449
  21. I can lay in the stuff (have done so, hooking up a "towing light bar" to a truck, at the most, I only get a mild tingling feeling.
  22. Nope, I don't recognize it from either mk1 or mk2.
  23. The 1st gen black & white, that was part of a police auction, about 2 years ago.
  24. Yup, you are full of it......
  25. My bike was painted with Nason (Dupont) Acrylic Enamel, after sanding, priming & removing the embeded pinstriping. It was done in 3 coats, 2 medium & 1 wet. Best to use some paint additive (fisheye remover), as we had a bunch of fisheye on the first try. Not sure, if it was from the new spray gun, or something missed during the prep work. About an eye dropper full is all that is needed, that is mixed in for the wet coat (according to the directions). http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=52435
