  1. Heading to Tofino, with Evan out of Toronto tomorrow. Remember Russ, you need to fuel the scoot, if it moves under its own power. http://www.gotofino.com/
  2. It's normally needed, to get back into the states, started about 2 years ago.
  3. Maybe later this long weekend, depends on Evan. Here is the latest from him.
  4. A Maternity outfit, would fit you much better & be much better for those at Gary's. As we don't want, to have a bunch of blind bikers, from gouging their own eyes out. :bang head:
  5. Nothing new.............. :rotf: What rules.........
  6. Yours could use the sub, more than Mikes. Remember, I have tried both yours & his before, 2yrs ago in Cody. I believe the fish taco's, at the Cody International got more votes, than your chili. You should stop sniffing the glue. I can't be bribed, as I won't be there.......
  7. Better place the 2nd outhouse by the chicken coop, that way Bubber will have one close by (next to his tent).
  8. Good point, Carl.......
  9. Both of mine, currently have full coverage, at $500. each. I am not looking foward, to switching back to BC rates.
  10. No comparison between the states & Canadian or from province to province. ICBC (BC Govt) with its rippoff rates, is over $800 for PLPD on the 83 VR (after a 43% discount), same coverage in Alberta is $60. :mo money: Good thing I haven't been home for long, so I can delay doing the switch over, for a bit.
  11. Why Not......... :thumbsup2:
  12. Hide it at Skid's place.......
  13. Evan, from seeing the pics, that is one nice OTR repair job. Please provide the couplers size as well, for a quick reference.
  14. Too far away, for me to go there for a weekend. Depends, on if Eck is using the washing machine before, but definately afterwards.
  15. Won't happen, not with going to PIP & meeting up with some of that Cody crew again.......
  16. :rotfl: Better put down an oil spill containment boom on the lake as well. Squid could be saturated in the stuff, for all we know. After all, he has a V twin scoot, in addition to the Venture.
  17. More 1st gen features, with the exeption of the warranty. The non Royale version, did not have the compressor, or a radio. Rarely, does a 1st gen rear shock fail. I have only heard of 2 since being on this site.
  18. Good to hear, but have you done it, so far this year???? If so, she will probably have you in the doghouse. Or filling out a checklist at fuel stops; wallet, keys, helmet, gloves, Mechanic on bike..... :rotf:
  19. Also, maybe hook up with Bubber & head up to the P.I.P. meet in Laporte Mn. It is held on the Labour day long weekend. There is usually some work done on bikes & they might be able to spot the problem. I won't be there, this year, as I am now back on the wet coast & not only 1,000 miles away.
  20. Should be the same, but still still do a part # lookup on both years & compare them. I use partshark.com as my referance site.
  21. Clive, that looks like the main wiring harness & relay for the two lights. As it has 2 connectors for lights, main power feed in, grounds, a switch plug in connector. Yup, that should have gone back with the H3 replacements.
  22. If it was fine prior to pulling the fairing, it looks like K.I.S.S. (keep it simple st--id) applies. Meaning have a good look around the radio, like the radio ground wire connection, on the amp mounting bolt, it is not a ring connector, so it can slide out as the bolt is tightened. Another possibility, but unlikely, is power connection at the inline fuses, which should be in the vicinity of the turn signal lens & the flasher units on the Mk1. Also check the amp / harness connector, to ensure that none of the pins has backed out.
  23. I don't remember riding across the Atlantic, getting to your place.... Would have been fun, doing a side trip into Germany, to ride the autobahn. :rotf:
  24. Too bad, I couldn't do it at this time (big trip was costly). Next time, if there is another group buy. Dan, are you planning on, chasing & passing UPS Trucks . :rotf: Something Eck couldn't do at the time, because he was then riding a 2nd gen.
  25. I think Mike didn't realize, I won't be there to teach the 2nd genners, the easy way to repair plastic. As I am back to work now. Too bad, I didn't get any pics of the Old Hooter stranded in Yellowstone with an empty fuel tank. I was too busy rushing to get him a can of fuel, so we could get to the wrap up dinner. Yes, Russ rode the scoot, for more than 50 miles & didn't fall down. Now he needs to remember to fuel it, a totally new concept for him.
