I have one of these, it is comfortable for me & headset works nicely too. But I have found this one is size marked wrong IMHO. My helmets are normally a small / medium depending on helmet, but this is a large & is a snug fit. So you may want to order 2 sizes larger than normal.

It is relativly simple on the 1st Gen ('85), there is some disassembly, as the quickest & easiest way in my way of thinking is to pull the windshield & back of dash cover, as well as the cover plate on the right handle arm. To route the wiring & make the connection.

Looks like a switch added in, possibly for driving lights. Nice looking placement BTW.
