  1. Grump & I spent 6 days around Columbia, this last summer. We met up with ECK (or is that eek ) & I met up with Sleeperhawk & his Mechanic, as well (Grump had stayed & had dinner with his brother).
  2. Do you realize, the left front is on the rear brake system. Big air pocket by the steering neck, you will have to bleed that before the left caliper. Make sure the rear master does not run out of fluid, when bleeding. I found a plastic turkey baster, with a bit of filing at the bottom, works nicely to thread into the filler cap opening & provides additional supply for bleeding.

  4. Probably at the cutch switch. Try holding the handle fully out with a couple of fingers, then engage the cruise. It should stay engaged with the fingers holding the lever out. If so, then it will be a question of determining if it is the switch itself, worn lever & bushings or if the clutch system needs a closer look. There are other switches that can cause it to cut out as well, but not as common.

  8. That OLD Owl is too heavy to fly, :stickpoke:except maybe slung under an sky crane . But he did ride in Cody,without falling off for a change...... Now, if he can remember, to fuel the scoot up & not run out of fuel in the tank, when out on a ride. Remember Owl, scoots do not run on methane gas, you have to buy gasoline, to get anywhere. :rotf::rotf:

  11. If riding close with Yammer or Friesman1, Industrial grade hearing protection is recommended. That is, unless you are completely deaf & immune as a result, to the sounds that they make (attempting to sing).... :stickpoke:
  12. Yup, I've seen some of the pics posted...... I was also at Yammers in late June, so I saw the planned location then. No walls to worry about, from my understanding only the footers were poured. I had suggested that, if he wants go to a slightly larger garage (not Skid sized, not enough reasonably flat ground). Pour new footers outside the existing ones & incorperate the previous ones into the floor. I do not know WV bulding codes, but up here, the footers are not normally at grade level & drainage is also installed around the foundation to carry the water away. Dan you should consider your electical needs for when the garage gets done & leave a provision to get the wire inside, if going with a buried setup. Any other common sense type features, that should be incorperated into this basic (for now) garage, mancave to probably follow eventually.
  13. Needs Wildhare 39 on it..... Maybe then, he can get some riding in.... Considering, that is similar to his spelling for his scoot, that he can't currently ride (health issues).
  14. Agreed. Now Randy, hopefully your sight will clear up nicely. Otherwise, you may have to go to a slower bike, like a 2nd gen. BTW: Have you & Steve tried out the full size of that Mexican dish that I had, yet? I realize that you guys sampled some of mine that night, while Grump & I were there.
  15. Specs calls for 1,000 rpm +/- 50 rpm, so 950 - 1050 rpm. Idle adjust knob is vertically mounted between carbs 1 & 2, basically behind the left lower fairing upright & carb bracket.

  17. Best place is at the junction block (get at all 4 cables), but it is behind the entire left fairing, next to frame. Lubing tool gets clamped onto the cable near the end, there is a small hole in rubber for the cable lube straw to stick into luber tool. Spray lube in until lube comes out other end (should see lube dipping out), if cable clamped good enough, no leakage coming out of luber itself.

  25. Ok, we have a possible replacement, for last winters "why thread". Yup, best to get the guy out, by whatever method, before getting burnt.
