    I have an 06 midnight and the only difference is more crome and the seat is higher quality leather. Both are beautiful bikes!

    I HAVE AN 2006 MYSELF WITH 14K ON THE STOCK DUNLOP YOU MUST RIDE HARD! MINE IS ALMOST GONE TOO AND EVERYONE TELLS ME TO GO WITH AVON MUST BE SOMETHING GOOD THERE? :cool10::cool10:

    Your friend did a great job I sell alot on e-bay and thats a beautiful bike. Just a tip if you have a digital camcorder you can post video and sound on a site called livedigital.com and post a link for free on your e-bay post I found it realy helps.     Bought an old XR-200 for a fix-r-up-r and kick start was striped out no big deal i'll just roll start it so after pushing it up the hill I hopped on and started down the hill and when I poped it in gear it started but was stuck wide open so I pulled the clutch and the cable broke then I tried the brakes both cables broke by now I was out of running room lets just say holly bushes are not the best brakes but they work. :rotfl:

    I steped up to the venture and my friend stayed with tour deluxe we ride together every weekend and the only thing is I have more commfort power and handling are the same. IT'S AN AWESOME RIDE EITHER WAY!

    I've learned that the horn is a waste of time. A good set of BUBS and the rev-limit will scare the crap out of anything.

    They want you to pay the dealer that $130.00 for them to put $12.00 worth of plugs in. The only reson I changed mine is to drop to a #7 since im always at the rev limiter.

    Has anyone done a compresion test? If you have a bad valve you could be blowing out before your spark.

    I've had a V-4 since 05 and never had a leek I do all my own service and I put a full 4 QRTS in when I change oil & filter if the bike is stood up straight the window is full on mine. Yamaha's don't leek oil! I would take it back until it's don't.

    The 2008's look the same in my rear view mirror!:rotf: Your right the only way they will compete is with V-ROD motor and there stereo's do sound good.

    I had an 05 black&silver you got a great bike!!!!!! I now have an 06 venture and the owner of the dealership were I got it owns my 05 tour deluxe. That should tell you something. I put 36000 miles on it in 2 years and still miss it time to time. ENJOY!

    12000 MILES SINCE FEB. THIS YEAR AND ONLY PROBLEM WAS SOME WABBLE IN FRONT END BUT PROBLEM SOLVED ON THIS SITE "LOW TIRE PRESSURE" IF YOU WANT COMMFORT AND POWER YOUR LOOKING AT THE BIKE YOU NEED IF YOUR LOOKING FOR PROBLEMSLOOK AT SOMETHING ELSE.

    I installed BUBS on my 06 justafter break in and they are great they are only loud under full throttle but the power change is WOW! Alot faster through the RPMs and no jet work:080402gudl_prv:

    JUST WANTED SOME OPINIONS ON OIL'S I'M USEING MOBIL 1 CLEAN 5000 NOW BUT IS THERE SOMETHING BETTER? I KNOW MOST OF YOU HAVE HAD V-4'S LONGER THAN ME SO WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE BEST FOR THE BEAST?

    This is my 2nd v-4 first was tour deluxe now have 2006 midnight venture bought in march 2007 have 12000 miles and I will NEVER own any thing else. All you have to do is ride it one time and your in love even before you smoke your first Harley!
