Bumped mine in the rain trying to turn on hazard lights and was running about 60 mph took me till 30 mph to find what was wrong.

I Have A Show Chrome From E-bay Wider But Shorter I Love It Exept For The Gap At Bottom Of Shield And Top Of Fairing You Can See Down In Fairing......guess Thats Why Oem Is Black At Bottom. -

Thanks for the post I'm planing on doing the swap this year I look foward to the change. I ask my dealer about it and he can't even get the gears without buying the whole rear end......about $700 soo sportmax will get my $$$$$$$$$$$$

I DID USE A WHOLE PACK IN THE SHADE MAY HAVE OVER-DUN-IT MAYBE A LITTLE FILM I HAVE THE SKOKE SHIELD AND IT SEEMED TO BE A LITTLE DARKER.

TIME IS NOT A FACTOR....NEXT TIME I WILL DO HALF AT A TIME. IT DOES WORK WELL AND SEEMS TO LAST MINE HAS BEEN ON FOR A WEEK AND STILL WORKS "NOT AS WELL AS DAY I PUT IT ON BUT WORKS" BUT I HAVE ONLY RINSED THE SHEILD TO GET BUGS OFF NO RUBBING OR SOAP THEY DO SEEM TO COME OFF EASIER. I DID NOT USE IT ON INSIDE OF SHIELD "SHOW CHROME" SOO ONCE IT RAN OVER TOP I WAS BACK TO THE SAME OLD THING. GOOD STUFF JUST NEEDS TO COME IN A BOTTLE! $1.20 PER APPLICATION WILL ADD UP.

TO MY UNDERSTANDING THE ONLY TIME YOU NEED TO REJET ON A VENTURE IS IF YOU GO TO A BIGER HEAD PIPE. SLIP ON'S AND AIR FILTERS HAVE NO AFFECT OTHER THAN YOU WILL HAVE TO LOWER YOUR IDLE.

I could not agree more with starbog spend a little $$$ and get the AVONS I have the smaller myself but I have short legs. The VENTURE is a great bike youll LOVE it.
