    I TOOK THE DEFLECTERS OFF THE FRONT OF MINE JUST TO GIVE IT A BIGGER HOLE TO BREATH WITH THE K&N's SOOM IMPROVEMENT BUT NO SIDE EFECTS. I MEET SOMEONE AT A MEET AND EAT THAT TOOK THE BOX's OFF AND PUT ROUND FILTERS ON AND SAID HE HADE NO PROBLEMS. I THINK AS LONG AS YOU DON'T CHANGE THE HEADERS ON THESE BIKES YOUR OK.

    Also I wanted to add that when the bike is warmed up and you are standing behind it the exhaust to the left is cooler than the exhaust on the right and feels to be pulsing where the one on the right has a more constant pressure. STUCK DIAFRAM IN CARB. STAR RYDERS 07 HADE SAME PROBLEM THE SEA FOAM HAS BROKEN IT LOOSE. NOW GET YOUR CARBS SYNC DONE. AS FAR AS AIR BOX MODS I HAVE K&NS WITH THE FRONT OF BOX CUT OUT BUBS SLEEPERS AND LOVE THE POWER, SOUND, AND 50mpg.

    You Should Be Able To Smell The Gas Plus One Side Will Feel Colder If You Put Your Hand In Front Of Exhaust.

    BEFORE YOU SYNC CARBS RUN A CAN OF SEEFOAM. I HAVE A FRIEND WITH A 07 RSTD HE HADE A STUCK DIAFRAM IN ONE CARB. MAKE SURE TO SYNC AFTER IF IT IS STUCK THE SEEFOAM WILL FIX YOUR MPG AND THE SYNC WILL MAKE IT BETTER. I GET 45 TO 50 MPG ON A 06 RSV AND I LIKE TO HERE MY PIPES.

    I bought the show chrome 4" shorter and I love it BUT the wife said it's to much wind for her looks like I will be shopping for a tall and wide soon. I got mine off E-BAY for under $100.00 when I replace it I will sell the show chrome in VR classifieds.

    I GOT TO TEST RIDE A RAIDER FRIDAY WITH AFTER MARKET PIPES AND .......WOW! THE TOURQE ON THIS MONSTER IS UNREAL. IT BROKE LOOSE IN 2nd AND RODE LIKE A DREAM. ANYONE IN THE MARKET FOR THIS STYLE BIKE WOULD NOT BE DISAPOINTED. I HAVE RIDEN BIG DOGS AND IRON HORSE AND THE RAIDER PUTS THEM TO SHAM WITH BOTH COMFORT AND POWER NOT TO MENTION $$$$$$$$$.
