You must have got the red 08 they hade. when you go in tell them you are good friends with me "Mark Russell" and they will take care of you. I ride with Mike and John sometimes and hang out at the shop and help out. If you want any work done tell them that only Mark is allowed to touch your bike. He is the best they have and cares he will take care of you. Feel free to use my name to get better service. You should go to lunch with us on 8/02/08? http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=24050

If it has oil and a battery in it then they prepped it thats about all they do besides putting around 5 miles on it to make sure everything works. where did you get the bike. I noticed you are in alabama. If anywhere close to childersburg we should ride sometime.

Handle bar wobble with no hands...
yamahamer replied to bugfish69's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Alot of things can help but nothing will make it go away completly. I had a bad habit with my tour deluxe of riding with no hands for up to 20 miles at a time but when I got my venture all that stoped. Yes it will get out of control if you turn loose for more than a second. I have the mt90 AVON and have done all the other things people have told me to do and it is a lot better. Still has wabble at 35 to 40 mph but great in all other ranges. -

Doesn't make sense! 424 are a smaller pipe and futher away from the bags than any other pipe. I know someone who has them and they run very cool you can even touch them after a short ride. Do tou still have baffles in?

Never hade heat in mine. What kind of pipes do you have?

I hade an 81 goldwing and put new exhaust on it then there was this tapping noise right after I changed exhaust so I figured something was in one of the mufflers and keep on rideing. A few months down the road the tapping got worse thought it was fuel pump so I changed it and went for a ride thats when the tapping stoped. It wasn't the fuel pump it was the piston hitting the valves and it stoped when it locked up. YOU NEVER KNOW!!! -

I Buy My Gas At The Same Station Every Two Days And Have Never Put More Than 5 Gallons In The Bike And Only Fill To The Filler Neck. I'm Very Anull About My Maintence And Run A Few Caps Of Seefoam At Each Oil Change "in Fuel" I Owen A 05 Rstd Before My Venture And Got Around The Same From It. Guess I'm One Of The lucky Ones.
