  1. For the video portion of this, I used a GoPro Hero2. I have it mounted on the faring right above the head light. I have a WiFi back on it so I use a remote to start and stop the video recording. For the still pictures I used my Nikon Coopix and my iPhone. I used Roxio as the video editing software. Soup's on!
  2. Thank you for all the positive comments on the video... The problem with making a video like this is trying to edit it down to a reasonable length. Between my wife Patti and I we probably took 300 still pictures and 30 videos. We had a great time... Time sure did go fast!!!! Soup's on!
  3. I put together a video of pictures and riding video I took during the International Rally in Galena. You will see some pictures from Chestnut Mountain and the various places we stopped during our group rides and solo exploring. Ride video also includes group rides and individual exploring. Following is a link to the video. [ame=http://youtu.be/MX41hL7hFQQ]2013 International Rally Video[/ame] Because of some copyright with the music I used, this video might not be playable of iPads and iPhones..... It plays fine on good old PCs. Enjoy.... Soup's on!
  4. Wow... Looks like you were riding on the edge for some time now. Good thing it went flat when it did. Soup's on!
  5. I was very impressed with the Chestnut Mountain Resort. I was a little concerned after reading a few reviews on line. I actually considered staying off-site and riding in each day. I'm sure glad I didn't!!!!! Because of our positive experiences I'll be sure to write up a great review for them. I'm sure the Chestnut folks wouldn't mind other positive reviews by other Venture Riders.. Thanks!!! Soup's on!
  6. I was a couple bikes behind Ragtop on the left. I saw that deer on the left when it tried to run across the first time and then got scared and then ran back ino the ditch on the left. I was watching out hoping it wouldn't come out of the ditch... and then it just bolted out across the road. Reaction time was nearly zero... I hate deer!!!!! Soup's on!
  7. This will be my first Rally with the Venturerider.org group. Few Questions about the Group Rides. 1) We have 3 days of riding. Does everyone that wants to ride as one group to one location at one time? Or is it split up in some way? Is it a different location each day, or are all three locations offered each day? 2) Do you ride in a staggered formation with a one or two second gap? 3) Do you use hand signals? 4) Does the ride leader transmit over a CB station so all can know what’s coming up? 5) How are intersections handled? 6) Do you plan fuel stops ? I’m looking forward to the upcoming week. Soup's on!
