Hey fellas, just wanted to check in with everyone after getting back from our annual early summer trip on the bikes. This year we went to South Dakota- Custer, Mt. Rushmore, needles, Deadwood, Sturgis, Devils Tower, then back home to Oklahoma. About 2400 miles in about 6 days. Good trip. Dad had bike trouble with his Victory Vision, so had to leave early. Other than that, everything went as planned.

Replaced leaky rear shock with a repaired shock from Dfitzbiz. It’s a great looking shock. Didn’t take too long with my beautiful wife’s help. Now severe weather needs to move on so I can test her out.

Dfitzbiz, how has the longevity been with your rebuilt shocks? You have given a few updates, I was just wondering how these have held up? My shock bottom is oily and dirty, so I am on a ticking clock. Thanks for all your help.

Finally got the inspiration to do some mods this weekend. Put on my “eBay bought” handlebar risers. Took an hour or so to get throttle cables situated. Then today I made new fork wind deflectors. When my dad bought the bike, the previous owner had removed them. He made some quick replacements, but they were smaller. I tried to reproduce the originals. I then tried to reproduce the knee wind deflectors I’ve seen on this site. It requires shaping plexiglass. It is my first try at doing that, so my first one was rough. Second one looked better. Took the bike for a spin this evening. Everything worked well. Just a small amount of wind on thighs and knees. Much better. Now to remake the first knee deflector.
