  1. Not many waterfalls in corn country, so I guess it is up to those in the mountain states to get this one!
  2. Nice bike! but no ice cream? Well, I guess we can excuse that and give you a great big BONUS for the new bike. What is the Brunswick Museum? anything to do with Bowling or old Harley's? So what is the new target?
  3. I have an '86 VR and it needs some TLC. I thought I had a great shop located, but he seems to busy to work on my old bike again. So are there any shops that people trust that work on the VR? I live near Peoria, IL but can go towards Quad Cities, Chicago, INdy, St. Louis. etc. But of course, finding one within short distance of Peoria would be best. Any help appreciated.
  4. Joe, we are just kidding you about the ice cream! The typical motorcycle enthusiast knows no temperature or weather too cold or messy for ice cream! Don
  5. SMsgt, well, after you eat the cheescake and Ice cream, I don't want to see it....again....when you find the museum. Just the building will do nicely!
  6. SMSgt, great pic, thanks for posting. Does it count if it is a museum in planning? Peoria is trying to build a big downtown museum, but right now it is a hole in the ground! OK Nice target.
  7. I have had good luck with the cheap J&M's, but there are others, just got a helmet with EdSets so we can find out more about them, like the features. But here is another option, WingStuff.com has a good selection and they do installs also, and for less money than J&M.
  8. Excellent! New players and some fast action. Thanks everyone for firing up this game again. Lots of old small towns in my area, but wet/snow today, to it will be Tues/Wed before I can get out again. The hunt is on!
  9. I have had several hit and runs on my vehicles over the years, but the one that took the cake was when I was at a gas pump and a guy backed out of a service bay right into the bumper of my truck (he was in a truck too). Moved my truck around a lot and I was standing right there. He looked right into my eyes, and started to pull away. I jumped in front of him and stopped him and he yelled at me, and I mentioned he just hit my truck, and he said "NO damage, let me go". Now here is the wild part, I KNEW This guy, a local rich guy that was used to nobody saying no to him, but I pulled out my phone and said I was calling police for a hit and run, and he better believe I knew who he was and had his plate, and had witnesses stacking up. then he stopped. He moved my bumper about an inch to the side and I made sure his insurance covered it. When police arrived, they claimed they couldn't issue a ticket because it was private property, unless he actually left the property. I said that is fine, I just want his actions on record. Some people.
  10. Excellent target Joe, we can learn some history while having fun. Hey, and for those that maybe don't get the target first, go ahead and post your pictures anyway, I know I would like to see them, even if they come in a bit late! Nice to see some activity and new players after such a long winter so far.
  11. Hey Joe! Go Navy! A perfect hit on target to my eyes. What is next?
  12. Yes Ragtop, after some inactivity, we have moved well past the "Q" sign target! It is also 2011, FYI Sorry, gotta poke at ya in fun! Good pictures though. Raining here today, but I just got my new Tourmaster jacket, I may go out anyway!
  13. I will ask some others to give their thoughts, but for me, at first, I thought...not allowed because the point is to RIDE to the target, get out and have fun. But, you are new, and I do not want to discourage a new enthusiastic player, plus, that is just such a great shot, that I would say you did fine, and set a new target. But in the future, I think we should say that you really should have to ride to the target, and we will assume that people will play fair and not just push the bike out the door and take the shot. I even thought twice about my shot at the drive-up because it was just 1/2 a mile from my garage, but I don't think we should set a mile limit (only targets 20 miles away allowed....NOT) so find them where you can, but try to do it while riding. You were up front, and again, I love the shot, so I say it is good....this time! And thanks for joining in, the more that play, the more fun it is! BTW, how did you get the picture to show up instead of just a link. Sometimes computers just fry my mind!
  14. DanOh, go after that target!
  15. Bob, I give you extra credit for such a great picture, and having the smarts to buy your best gal a drink! Next target, next target......... Man it hurts to think! In honor of Valentines day just finished, how about: You and your bike and a flower display. This can be a display in a store window, a flower pot on a city street, or flowers on a sign or bilboard (so those in the cold states can have a decent chance since there won't be any flowers growing yet). Extra credit if you have real flowers and are handing them to your significant other at the time.
  16. OK, 54 degrees today, rain on the way, but I got out. Now if I can remember how to post pictures, I went to our local bank on an errand for my wife. So a legit trip! one picture from afar with me in the mirror (had a hard time leaning down) and one up close while I was at the tube thing. Oh the burgundy car in the 2nd picture is a friend of ours that was at our house when I took off, and she went to the same bank, and covered my 6 (with her car, get your mind out of the gutter Bob!) while I took the far picture. BTW, how do I get this thing to show the picture instead of the link?

  19. If it doesn't rain today, I will try to get a ride in. got to do some work first! (excuses, excuses!) LOL
  20. great target! I have a friendly Hardees employee that I can get to do that I think, and the weather looks decent for the next few days. the hunt is on people!
  21. That's a pretty small q there sir! But then the target is just that. So I vote that Dan is the MAN and he should set the new target. It is above freezing for the next several days, so I can get back out and play again. Go Dan...... and get us a good new target.
  22. Looks like a great bike for you, and you should enjoy the heck out of it. I would mention one maybe...maybe downer. Blue lights are sometimes illegal on vehicles other than police or fire. Check that out, and maybe those are for static display only.
  23. Big Dawg and others. The game is a scavenger hunt. You look for the current "target" get a picture of you and your bike and the target. IT is OK to have you in a reflection in the chrome or mirror since it may be hard if you are alone to get a picture of you and the bike and the target. most people take a second picture of the target and their bike just so people can see it better. the person that gets the current target then sets a new target. Past targets have been things like, (all of them start:)You and your bike and:__________ A police car at a donut shop, a tractor, pumpkin patch, scarecrow, bridge, lake etc etc. Current target is You, your bike and a business with a sign/name that has a Q in it. We have decided that Dairy Queen is NOT acceptable since it is so easy to get! Anyone can play, and you only have to look back to the last target (usually just a few messages) to see what it is. Sometimes the "group" will vote on a target if it is kind of on the edge, but usually, you get the picture, post it and set a new target. For newbies, you will have fun going through the previous targets if you want. The more that play, the more fun. Be inventive with targets, but don't make them so hard or obscure that most people can't play. Try to stay away from targets that are only in one area (Pacific ocean, etc). A topical or seasonal target can be fun. One I got was a yard display of blow up Christmas decorations! Play and have fun!
  24. At first I thought it was going to be a copy of Plasti-Fix. I used that product to fix the trunk on my '86 VR that was almost in THREE parts (Base, bottom surround, and lid!) An hours work each of two days fixed the part and it is holding well. Plast-aid seems similar, but doesn't set up quite as quick, and adding color to it is also nice. With Plasti-fix, it comes in black and white I think, an d for my black trunk, I just used the black option, and since the cracks were not easily visible from outside, I didn't even worry about sanding or painting.
