  1. Maybe Yamaha will give us a dollar for every brochure we hand out plus commission on any sales?
  2. My VIN ends in 000090, so I guess one of the early ones off the line. Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  3. +1 Seems like every time i stop at a place with a bunch Harley's around, i need to plan for 5 or 10 minutes answering questions about the bike. Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  4. Interesting. Mine did not come with a USB stick. Purchased in Virginia from a dealer that knew less about the bike than I did. A bit of an argument with buddy trying to sell me 5 year extended warranty. Did they hand you the USB stick? Or was it on the bike somewhere? Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  5. My experience has been that the best exchange rate for USD into CAD cash is a Canadian casino if there happens to be one near your border crossing. Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk

  7. More GPS wonkyness... This time it was telling me a 45 minute drive was going to take well over an hour. I knew where I was going. It directed me on the best route the entire way there, but kept giving wonky ETA updates. Pulled over and took this shoot when I was a little less than 1/2 a mile away. You can actually see the destination flag in the picture. Notice the current time was 10:21 and ETA was 11:25. Guess the GPS thought I was going to push the bike that last 1/2 mile! 8. I laid a soft blanket across the tank while adjusting my bars, but it wasn't needed. loosen the bolts just barely enough that bar doesn't crash down under its own weight, but can be moved up or down with a little pressure from you. One person job this way. At least it worked well for me. Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk

  10. Everything orange was powdered coated before I got it. I've had the bike for 2 years and in that time all I've done to it is replace the throttle and fixed a wiring issue. The rest of the rebuild was done by previous owner. Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  11. Very cool. Love them old Kawasakis. This one is in my stable... Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  12. Please give us a review if you do get it. I'm thinking of getting a slightly bigger shield myself to cut down on highway speed buffeting. Cheers Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  13. Traded in my 2012 2nd gen for a 2018 TC before I got around to installing this brand new XL vented clearview shield. Just listed on ebay. Thanks https://www.ebay.com/itm/XL-Vented-Clearview-Windshield-for-Yamaha-Royal-Star-Venture/323210059111
  14. Have put about 1,400 miles in the SVTC. Completely different world than my 2002 and 2012 2nd gens. Love everything about thur bike, expect not impressed with the GPS. Every once and awhile it gets stuck trying to calculate a route and then I have to fiddle with it to reset. Sometimes the top right part of the screen tells me my next turn is left, but the map is clearly (and correctly) showing exit is to the right. First time this happened I pulled over to take a picture just to make sure I wasn't crazy. In this picture it is telling me to exit left from the highway in 900 feet. And finally, routes can only take up to 5 way points. What's up with that? Need 50 or more when planning ahead of time a trip that takes all the twisty roads instead of highway for a trip. What do others think of the GPS system so far? Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  15. Hi all, Just traded in my 2012 2nd Gen for transcontinental today. Awesome machine. The antennas don't seem to fold forward like the 2nd Gen did. For those that made the leap, how are you covering the bike? Thanks, Dan
