  1. Ken, Was good to see you again, glad you made it home OK. Gotta be a bad boot or seat on the boot at carb or engine, I think? Good luck, and let us know what you find. Gary

  5. The lighting circuit get extreemly hot to the point the key would get hot ( not even connected to the switch plate ) and the switch plate was cracking at the lighting post due to exessive heat. Therefore, the relay. Worked for me !

  11. Don, I guess I'm out of the running for the next International Meet, seeing that I suggested West Virginia. I could of used that $100 bucks. Sorry about your bike, that really sucks. Gary
  12. You'll have to remove the ignition switch to clean it, the lock is separate from the contact plate, no access from the key hole. If you have passing lamps or other accessories the need to be put on a relay otherwise the draw will be right through the switch. I just put the whole lighting circuit on a relay, found wire on service manual CD. If the contact plate is not toast you can clean it and use some dielectric grease. PS you will need to remove the cone head bolts (pia) Hope this helps Other tech articles are here as well Gary
  13. Sounds like it will be road worthy soon !!

Home in just under 9 hours and only had to duck behind the windshield twice for just a mile or two and never had to pull the rain suit. Met a bunch of great people. And we had a Awesome host family. Camping Gear

There's a book at Borders Bookstore in the motorcycle section written by a biker that talks just about motorcycle camping. I thumbed through it and got a lot of good ideas, forgot the authors name but it was the only one on the subject. Gary

  24. Thanks, I lost my Dad in March and there was a big void today, however I kept busy today. Went to Church then an Open House Graduation Party Ect. but it didn't seem like Fathers Day. Thanks for sharing, Gary
  25. Is it a Briggs & Stratton lawn mower ? When I lived in Texas it was so hot you didn't have to mow that much as to require a V twin mower !! I'll bet it really cuts though. :stirthepot: JK I think, Gary
