  11. Best of luck to you Joe, Its a hard thing to do but we do what we have to to survive. One of my good friends had to sell a nice Wing, but hes back now on an older Venture. Bottom line is he's riding again. And MN has to be better than MI these days, to bad its not warmer. Good luck, Gary
  12. Sounds like the Bozo's here in Flint, I have to go 40 miles one way to Oxford to talk to someone who really gives a rip. My choice, but I'd rather talk to someone with a few active brain cells if you know what I mean. Gary
  13. Don, If your up in Flint on a Monday give me a buzz, I have Mondays off right now but as in your situation that is subject to change as my routes may change also. Rumors of it being switched to Friday being my off day during the week. Three day weekends either way. I live a mile off I-75 and have a couple of guitars sitting around just waiting for some exercise and lots of places to eat on Miller Rd. Gary
  14. Won't do anything except keep the key moving freely, the electrical connections are separate from the lock tumbler. But I'll bet you will never have a problem with the key !! Gary
  15. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=31394 Don, here's a post on a relay to avoid future problems. The removal is a PIA, replace the cone heads with allen bolts. If the contact plate is not cooked you can salvage the switch. Good luck, Gary

  21. Yes, they look good painted. Big Mike painted his black on his 01 which is red w/ ghost flames. Give him a shout ! He's the Big Mike in Farmington, MI Gary
  22. George, I've had these things apart, the lock tumbler and the contacts are two separate sealed units. you could send an army into that keyhole and it would not affect the contacts. OK no offense to our army, they could evaporate the whole machine in a twinkle of an eye, but you know what I mean. It would only lube the lock. FYI Gary
  23. Yup, and I don't need any reminders either. Hind sight my friend, hind sight !!!!!! Hope I learn before I get old !!!!!!!
  24. The Yamaha one is pretty, but I use a dry sack that is used for kayaking and it is 100% waterproof. I just use a couple of bungee cords.
