Engine noise
Yoopermoose replied to ZOEYDOG's topic in Star Venture and Eluder Tech Talk ( '18 - Present)
15w-50 Yamalube full synth is going in mine at the dealer today as I’m heading out to Phoenix in a month. I’ll ask about the omission in the manual. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

But.... the owners manual does not state 15w-50, so Yamalube full synthetic is not recommended for this bike? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Everyone...I present to you; 'Charlotte the Third'....

Looks great Joe! Is that the billet brake pedal that Yamaha offers? Can you stretch out past it with your heel still on the board? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
SVTC paint issues

33 coats of liquid glass and protective film on good paint makes sense. On defective paint - not so much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
SVTC paint issues

Enjoyed the review, Coming off an Ultra, a RoadKing and a Goldwing before that I agree that the finish isn’t comparable. The fit seems to be fine. The plastic seems to be thin in comparison with the GW. Sure park can be utilized with the bike not running however. I purchased this bike for the SurePark, the handling, the torque and the 5 year warranty and figure since it has paint issues, it’ll start being stickered up like Puc’s with traveling adventures sooner than later. SVTC paint issues

Good idea, but on mine it is not wear but definitely under the clear coat. I have a rack on mine and always open/close the trunk that way. Pretty soon you’re gonna have a Saran wrapped bike! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I guess we need to keep our eyes peeled for other locations where this might show up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Noticed what looks like paint bubbling under the clear coat on top of the trunk lid. My build number is 705. ChiefGunner I believe our bikes are close to the same build, is this what it looked like on your tank? (The 3 vertical lines under the light reflection) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I agree with the twitchy throttle response. I’ve noticed it in both Sport and Tour mode. It feels like a hesitation in throttle response. What is hard to get used to is it seems random, which can get a little surprising on lower speed acceleration leans as throttle is being given. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

And we’ll make them wait 6 months like we had to. BTW did Mother Yamaha sweeten the deal for you as promised? I had put my deposit down in July sold the Ultra in August and was really PO’d when the delay was announced. I was really close to going a different route and buying a Green/Black Indian Springfield. The $1K bling money was incentive but the real incentive was that I knew the SVTC was a much better bike even though I was losing half my riding season. Man I’m glad I waited, I really hope you get the same consideration. Yamaha did blow this roll out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks but huge smiles are NOT for sale. Good luck Joe keeping your bike under 2400 rpm next week. The hardest thing that I’ve had to do recently. 600 mile service next Thurs then woo hoo 2900 for the next 400 miles. Seems like a long break in period.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

New Venture Pricing

Plus try to order SurePark on a Harley. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Never had a driveline issue with the Harley driveline so I’m thinking the Yamaha has to be at least as well over engineered. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’m liking this new bike a lot. Gotta get the backup camera working though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wonky GPS
Yoopermoose replied to DanielM's topic in Star Venture and Eluder Tech Talk ( '18 - Present)
Stopped at my dealer today, I was running R12.0.06 and he uploaded a R12.0.06 revision. Also showed me trick to disable the alarm system so you won’t go nuts while working on the bike. Open the gas lid, the alarm will go off until the next time the ignition is turned on. Got my service manual, should have ordered a magnifying glass to read the wiring diagrams though. I did not get a mem stick on delivery but everything was working and loaded. I am very happy with my dealer, I don’t care how much the bike costs, their level of support is priceless. Looks like it’s made to mount in the holes of a car plate mount. Did/will holes need to be drilled in the plastic and length cut off to fit the bike? Otherwise, if the GPS Head unit has the RCA input, it looks like it might be plug and play. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
