  1. I put one on a couple of weeks ago. Took it on a 600 mile trip and it worked fine. I had a Clearview on my previous bike and like that one better. However, Show Chrome is the only one making shields for the SVTC right now. One weird thing - at night, with bugs on the windshield, I started getting some strange refraction. Didn't affect driving and stopped refraction in daylight and when there was no bugs (clean). I'll keep it I think.
  2. I bought mine from Yamaha of Cucamonga for $152.10. SKU: (2DF-86261-00-00) XMTR. COMP.
  3. Yes and no. The windscreen in the top position causes the wind to hit the top of my helmet causing buffeting. I lower it and then i have to close my faceshield because of bugs. I've checked around and haven't found any quality windscreens aftermarket yet.
  4. I notice that LongHaulPaul has 45,000 trouble free miles. That's in one year!
  5. That backrest looks interesting. Is it easly adjustable? I have the Yamaha add on backrest butt doesn't go up very far. Does it interfere with the heat?
  6. What are you using for highway pegs?
  7. I'm new to this bike and plan on some really long rides this summer. How is the seat for long distances? Seems like I always change seats on a new bike. Rather not this time.
  8. I owned a 2012 Goldwing Tier III and now own a 2016 F6B Deluxe.
  9. Last spring, I agreed with my friend that we would do a major road trip to the Gaspe Peninsula that August. I had a 06 Honda ST1300 (with lots of miles on it) and a 11 Star 1300 with not so many miles on it. I really didn't want to make this trip, and another planned for a few weeks later, with either bike. After I watched all the Yamaha lead-up ads I was interested in the Transcontinental and wanted more info, so off to my friend that owns a Honda/Yamaha/other stuff dealership. He told me what he knew and thought he would have his first bikes in by late July. That would be perfect and I could take my new bike on the Gaspe trip. However, late July came around and no new bikes. As luck would have it Honda had a special deal trying to move their F6B's, and since I used to own a Goldwing and no new Yamaha in sight, I went with the F6B. I have been very happy with the F6B and plan two trips this summer, each about three thousand miles. I really like long trips and in a couple of years I plan on driving to the US Southwest, West Coast and back the northern route. I'm thinking by then I will need a full blown tourer (again) such as the Goldwing Tour DCT, BMW K1600GL or the Transcontinental. I want to learn as much as I can about these bikes. So, that is why I'm on this site.
