I had to put another switch on my 99 RSV. This left me with having to carry two keys (ignition, gas,bags/trunk). Several years ago, I had two Fords and the keys were like the Venture - double sided with the same cut on either side. Back then, I had the Locksmith cut one key on one side and cut the other key on the opposite side. (Hope this makes sense). I did the same thing with the Venture keys. For the switch, You need to ensure you put the key in right side up. I took my Dremel and cut a notch in the top. When I open the gas cap or saddle bags/trunk, I use the un-notched side up. Oh, the blank I use is a ilco X248 YM63. Just a plain silver key. Remember to do this, the (combo) keys have to be manually cut. Hope this helps. MIKE aka Uturn

Before I got the Venture, the first Mod I did to my Suzuki was the Stebel. Then, it was one of the initial changes to my Venture. What I want to know, some of you have changed out the horn in the lower left fairing. I can't even hear that horn. Would the stebel fit in there without problems? Also do you need to use a second relay and inline fuse for the horn? MIKE aka Uturn

Where did you get that idea? Looks like a nipple ring. I am using wing nuts 6 X 1.00 MM. So far they haven't backed off. However, keep giving up those creative ideas. MIKE aka Uturn

I used white vinegar on a cloth and wet down the area, rubbing it in. Then I followed it up rubbing with an aluminum foil crumbled up into a ball. Keep briskly hard rubbing. It will start to take effect. Good luck. MIKE aka Uturn
