Looks great!!!!:happy65: The thing I would worry about is that with this much room my wife would pack it so well that it may take a bit more than a Venture to pull it !!! .....Say a full size SUV !!!:hihi:

Why are you talking to some "finance clown" instead of the manager of the dealership??!! Have you forgotten that $hit runs downhill and that you need to start at the top??They have committed FRAUD!!!! Contact the manager immediately, tell him you will be contacting Yamaha (and do so as soon as you hang up, regardless of how the conversation ends), tell him you will be contacting the bunko squad (fraud division) and tell him you will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the local Chamber of Commerce. And don't forget to contact the company which sells that extended warranty - bet it ain't Yamaha !!! You got the shaft ! And giving these people even five courtesy minutes will only convince them of your sucker status !!!!! And don't even think of using these crooks for your maintenance needs - Find another dealer!!!

So when are you going to upgrade?

Wow!!!! Two words comes to mind; Fire hazard !!!!! That's it ! You motivated me....Cause now I can see that, if I don't do something now, it will take me about 10 years to get my garage to that kind of condition!!!! Have you considered that there could be things in there you don't even remember ???:hihi:

I bought the Nomad when it first came out...Spent about 2500 on new seat, exhaust , ignition and rejet and some sparkles...Loved the bike and traded on an 07 Midnight Venture...with much misgiving..... No comparison !!!!! You are comparing apples and oranges. In all the years I had the Nomad we never went further than 250 miles. Too much noise, too much vibration - too tiring. Since getting the Venture have gone 12000+ miles that's 2000 more than the Nomad in 9 years! Our longest trip was 4300 miles in 16 days. Haven't regreted the change for one second!!! If your normal use will be short run to the nearest beer joint , like the HD crowd or a Sunday ride...get whatever looks better to you. If you plan to really ride, you really don't have a choice but to get the RSV. And it really isn't fair to compare prices - they are not equivalent, you get soooo much more with the RSV. Good luck !!!

I used to use Norton but grew to absolutely hate it!! Get McAfee - not only are they cheaper but according to Consumer reports they are better. From personal observation, once I got rid of Symantec (and it isn't easy) the computer runs much faster. Attacks are noted but instantly stopped - not a single incident simmilar to yours whereas with Norton it was happening regularly. I am using McAfee on two computers and so far I swear by them. And while you are at it switch from Explorer to Firefox - What a difference!!!!!

Silly me..... I thought all 1st gens traveled that way...... -
Annie, you got that sidecar on the wrong side!!! But seriously, what's that strange spring arrangement and brake repositioning on the front wheel??
-
12000 + and still going...... Have no complaints.....

Do it!! And what's this "I an an old guy" thing???!!! Not too old to be buying it? then not too old to ride it right?? Go for it! You won't be any younger again - so there is no point waiting !!!!

Interesting.......I read your post and wondered about whether we were talking about the same bike. Then I read all the rest...... Sorry guy, but you must be very strangely shaped?:hihi: Now don't get offended....but you are quite a bit taller than I yet you say the seat is too high....Hmmmm don't know what to say..... :confused24:Then the handlebars are a far reach....Hmmmm, cant say as I ever noticed any such thing.... :confused24:Your tailbone hurts? .... Just did over 4000 mile trip on the same seat.....Best I ever sat on, true after about 9 hours in the saddle it doesn't feel as nice as the first half hour - but neither does my couch if I sit that long. It realy sounds like you are sitting strange on that thing...Didn't you sit on it before buying?? The extra gear request though....really baffles me !!!! 5th is almost lugging at 55, has incredible acceleration at 95!!...What would I do with another gear??? My copilot starts getting nervous after 110, 115 , and you know how noisy that can get... Sounds like you are totally misusing that V4.... It isn't supposed to be driven like a Twin !!!! The only thing I can agree with you on is the slow handling...But I lowered the front and it went from a water-buffalo to gazelle, albeit a hefty one. And as to your assertion to the price...:duck:Well, I don't know what fine car YOU can buy for just over 14000 with tax but I can't think of any... Or did you go and overpay too.....

Buy a Mix-It unit and plug everything through that. I have the Zumo 550 and my Sat XM going through it and I can balance and amplify them any way I want... Works great!!! I can be listening to FM or XM or the MP3 on the Zumo and the instructions will interrupt when needed. The Mix-it has improved the sound quality.

There are places which claim to be family oriented, law respecting etc...etc.... But way down in there there is a low-class resentment to any thing different...... One of my cars is a Lexus LX470 ....I like to take it on long trips and have been to every western state. Never had any problem, except in Utah, In Salt Lake City on three consecutive days in three different locations with no connection between them and in totally different parts of town - my car was keyed three different times...... What can I say except that the place is full of "not my kind of people" ..... I left that very day, and have never been back....I avoid Utah like the plague!!!! If that happened to me, I would ask for my money back and never return..... But, that's my opinion.
