Man I loved those posters. I have some good motivational posters at work, but I don't think they capture the exact ideal I dream of. Thanks.

Well that explains everything. If I only ate ribs once a year, I wouldn't know the difference either!! If you're coming this way some day, give me a call and I'll take you to a little out of the place resturant whose ribs and BBQ Pork steak plate just blow everyone away. If that don't interest you, we can run up to Sikeston Missouri to Lamberts Cafe, home of the throwed rolls. Either way, like was said earlier, we'll EAT!!

Well that's one thing I have found all Venture riders have in common. EATING!! Now I'm not going to get any territorial rivalries started, but when you live between Memphis and Kansas City you just have to know a little bit about good ribs. Maybe we can meet up at the International Meet next year and swap recipes and/or stories. Should be fun.

So where did you guys really go? As everyone knows, there ain't no real BBQ in California. I'm pretty sure Texas and Kansas is as far west as we let the recipe go. :rotfl::rotfl:

Lou, congratulation on the new bike. I hope you and Vicky will be very happy with it. You better stay on this site!! I look forward to what the Blueslover has to say. Good luck and ENJOY!!

Lewis thanks for the post and thanks again for all you do on behalf of St. Judes. Count on us to help you out if needed. It was a very special day for us and is a great memory for all involved.
-
Congratulations to both of you. We just celebrated our 37th year together. (I didn't marry her for her cooking though!!) Hope you enjoy the day!!

Lewis, I just want to thank you as well. My wife and I had a great time at the ride. Knowing what it was for and who it was in memory of only made it better. Thanks for all that you do. Jim & Patricia

Sorry to hear that and fully understand your frame of mind. We're not going anywhere and we don't want you to either. Rest, heal, recuperate, and keep us posted. Good Luck

The slow arm of the law is upsetting to the innocent and the victims. Hang in there and just keep going forward. You continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.

I've had good luck with the Avons, but as someone said, I do run them at a higher air pressure than my old tires.

I won't try to speak for the others, but Pat and I had a great time, met some new and old friends, and had a memorable visit to the Ronal McDonald house. The St. Jude hospital and the Ronald McDonald house are indeed a very worthy organization. Many of us shared the emotion of wanting to cry because these facilities are needed and at the same time rejoice because we have such good ones. I'll post the pictures I have. Sorry for the quality and quantity, but my camera just stopped working. Everyone should do this ride someday.

Sorry to hear of your loss Dan. It's amazing how much a part of the family they can become, especially after fifteeen years. People who have never had pets will never understand the hole they leave behind when they are gone.

Good for you. Been there, done that. Hope it works out great for you.

Actually the deer skin makes excellent gloves, but the real strength of the sheepskin it the depth of the wool. It lets air flow through which not only cools but dries as well. I think using deer skin as a seat cover could really be a nice alternative to leather or plastic.

So I don't guess Alan would be interested in a kicking contest for a while. Alan, sorry to hear about the knee, but it is good to hear from you. Keep taking care of that knee, stay away from kids games, (even if it is a beer league), and let us know how you are coming along. Jim

I'm glad you and the family are doing better. Can't never tell, but Indiana may become a new favorite state. Like Randya said, at our age, although I'm significantly younger than him, there aren't a lot of good opportunities and options out there for good expereinced, i.e. "older", workers these days. Hope it works out well for you.

Glad everyone except your Mustang seat made it through okay. I get ticked off enough by jerks doing that kind of stuff to me. When I'm in the situation where my wife and I are both driving down the highway and they do anything at all stupid around my wife's car, I just can't stand it. I'm nervous and/or angry the whole time we are on the road together.

Not a problem Bill. Remember, I ride a 1st Gen, which as you know is faster than a UPS truck!!:rotfl::rotfl:

Pat and I will be at the Flying "J" around 11:00. I think I have another guy riding down with me, but if not, I may try to hook up with Wild Bill. Looking forward to it.

Allan, just saw the post. I hope you already know you are in our prayers but we will add a speedy recovery to your list. Man, we miss you around here. May GOD bless and keep you. Jim
