I have a set. They work good. Sound quality is excellent. After a few hours they start to hurt the ears a little.

Thanks Annie but it's not economically practical unless delivery was included for that price.

THANKS FOR THE HIJACK! Just thought some would find this an interesting concept. -
We where planning on going to Haines after Juneau. Some friends where over the other night and said how much they enjoyed Skagway so I'll have to look into maybe going there too.

I've been using the Dunlop 404 WWWs. Average about 12000 to 14000 miles per set. Avon offered them in the stock rear size and the 130 front but I don't know if they still do or not. -
Dan, thanks for the tip and the link. We'll be on the ferry from Prince Ruppert to Juneau on June 20. After that who knows? I'll take a closer look at your ride schedule.

I have been having a hard time coming up with the right words to respond to this thread. As most of the long time members here know, I have lived through this very nightmare. On Oct. 17, 2007 I lost the love of my life, the mother of my children and my best friend for over 35 years in a bike accident. There is no physical pain worse then the pain of loosing your sole mate. I am still not over this and know that I never will be. I've learnt to live with the pain. After three and half months in hospital and another three months of rehab I was able to get back on a bike again. Many people have asked me how I was able to do that after what I went through and I honestly can't answer that question. While I was laying in the hospital a couple of weeks after the accident I had already made up my mind that if I could walk again I was going to ride. Bike riding has given me some of the greatest pleasure and also the worse pain I have had in my life. I don't have as strong a belief system that many of the members here have. Sometimes I wish I did. I really don't know what I believe any more. I do know that I enjoy life and I'm thankful that I'm still here to enjoy it. As long as I'm here and able too, I'll keep on keeping on. I found out how fragile our lives are so I'm going to enjoy everyday to the fullest and not worry about what might happen tomorrow.

This company makes a molded lexan headlight cover that attaches with Velcro buttons. A little pricey and looks ugly but should work. http://www.aeroflowscreens.com/YamahaHLC.htm

Gene, we're taking the Shuttle as far as Edmonton and then riding from there. Sent you a PM re: Bra Set.

Thinking about some kind of headlight protection for the Alaska trip. Anyone tried this 3M product? I have their paint protection product on the Space Shuttle (RV) and it seems to work good. http://www.webbikeworld.com/t2/motorcycle-headlight/

Thanks Rick, Had a similar problem once before and it was the patch cable that time too. This one is not quite two years old but I don't have a clue where to look for the receipt. I think they were only about $20.00 from Sierra Electronics but they don't show that model anymore on their web site.

You guys are just soooooo helpful.

Wow! that looks like independent rear suspension. Very kool.

I think the easiest thing to try first is to let Mary use the IMC headset with the half helmet and see if it does the same thing. If it doesn't then we can narrow it down to the J&M in her helmet.
-
So Charlie did you get it home OK? Did you get the registration issues solved? Haul it or drive it home?
-
Seems like when ever we slow down to take a turn or come into a town Mary's headset starts cutting out from one side to the other. That's how she explained it to me. It just about drives her nuts. Once we speed up again it's OK. Only thing I can think of is to grease up the connections. I guess we could swap head sets to see if the problem follows. Anybody got a better idea?

Does the XM antenna plug into the Zumo or the mount? Any deals out there for the antenna?
