You're a good man Gene. I agree with Carl, seek out the man and give him strength by being a friend. Help him to find the professional help he will need to get through this. And my friend you may need it too. Don't be ashamed to ask for it. Post traumatic stress is real.

Just wondering if anyone has a good story to tell about using the VR assistance list. Other than looking for a phone number I've never really used it (knock on wood) for a break down or anything. Sure glad to have it available thought.

Feeling a bit better this morning so of course I went out and tried to catch up on some yard work and other stuff I've been procrastinating about and kind of over did it. Now I'm just plain tired. I like to blame it on getting run over by a car but Mary says it's old age. Can't be that! Should sleep good tonight.

If all goes as planned we'll be there in Feb. & Mar. 2011. See you then.

Well, that's got me thinking. I was at a birthday party yesterday for our four year old grandson and there was about a million rug rats there. Bet I got a little gift from one of them too.

It's a beautiful Sunday afternoon. A great day for a ride but here I am, sitting on the couch surfing. One minute I'm freezing the next I'm burning up. It's not even flu season yet. At least I have a good look'n nurse to take care of me. Chicken noodle soup is a wonderful thing.

This company http://www.dbtires.com/tires.html takes brand name tires and puts WWWs on them for classic, antique car and street rods. Not sure if they would do motorcycle tires or not but it may be worth a phone call. Probably too expensive.

Nice to have you back. Now when we go'n for a ride?

I've had 6 or 7 sets of the 404 WWWs on three different bikes. Always get between 12000 and 14000 miles on the RSVs, maybe a few more on the Roadie and no other complaints.

I had a real close call this afternoon. I was on a back road heading home after having lunch with some friends. I looked down at my dash for a second and before I could say OH S**T! a deer came out of a corn field and ran across the road so close that I think I could have touched it. I didn't see it until it was right at the center line. Didn't even have time to react.

headlight modulator info needed
Gary N. replied to fw2000's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
They are legal throughout North America. They work on high beam only during daylight hours. A light sensor turns them off at dusk or you can turn them off any time by switching to low beam. High beam works normally after dark. Can't tell you anything about the HID.- 5 replies

He says his knees won't let him hold the bike up anymore. I told him to get a trike or a Vespa.

Have fun and be careful. See you soon.

Tom, Ramblinman has hung up the keys and dropped off the site. His bike and trailer are up for sale. Says he can't hold the bike up anymore.

I've got a bank of breakers like that in my Space Shuttle (motor home). I'd bet they are fairly cheap to buy at some of the surplus places around Elkart.

There are lots of paved roads. We did over 5000 miles from Edmonton to Prince Rupert, then ferry to Juneau and Haines, then all over Alaska, and back through Yukon, BC and Alberta. All but 100 miles on paved roads. There's always construction somewhere and you won't avoid it. The only gravel road we did was the Top of the World Hwy. which was about 100 miles of gravel. I was advised to only do that road if it was dry so that's what we did. It was a little rough on the Alaska side but much better in the Yukon. I'd do it again in a heart beat. We took a tour bus up the Dalton Hwy. to the Arctic circle because that was gravel and I was nervous about driving the bike up there. But after doing the Top of the World Hwy. I don't thing the Dalton, at least as far as we went on it, would have been any harder to do. The RSV isn't the perfect machine for those roads but it worked. There are miles of roads to travel that you won't really pick out on the map but once you get there and start talking to people you learn about them.

Another source you may find helpful. http://www.big-rigs-rv.com/ The folks who wrote this actually have camped in all the campgrounds that they review in the book. Here are a couple of campgrounds I had thought about using. http://www.alpinelakervresort.com/default.asp http://www.saratogarv.com/index.htm

Haven't been to Lake George with the space shuttle yet but here's a link to a couple of web sites I like to use when chosing a camp site. http://www.rvparkreviews.com/regions/New_York/Lake_George.html http://www.rvusa.com/rv-parks-campgrounds http://www.bigrigresorts.com/index.php I don't always rely on the reviews especially if they are all over the map. Some people just can't be pleased. If the reviews are all low than it's probably one to stay away from. Is that a Journey? What model? We have an '05 Adventurer 38J.
