  2. i just PM d you my guess, Puck....want to be the first one on the list.
  3. Hey....its a biker Dad....we are not known to be the sharpest knife in the drawer. Walking down a side walk is risky too.I am sure the dad was ready in case of any emegency. Loved watching the video. But i agree....many would be concerned about such actions.
  4. Never had a chance to meet him, but loss of any member is a sad loss for all of us. My condolences to the family he left behind.

  7. bike not running right Its got an itch to get on the Nascar race track...is all i can think of...
  8. I think I have to thank my year old grandson for that gift.......
  9. Nothing giftwise, but I did have a sore throat when I got up this morning....does that count?
  10. Merry Christmas to you and your family too, Brad.
  11. Look up the word....'GOUGING', in the dictionary.
  12. We are being mugged...is all, I can say, here in Ontario,Canada. Was paying almost 1400 dollars, on my Millenium, and had a clean driving record....to ride a few months in Summer! I would be willing to ride without insurance, if I was given a choice, and pay out of my own pocket, if an accident was MY fault. They shaft you real good, when you are involved in an accident, and your rates shoot up, like crazy next few years, to make up for the costs they paid for. My question is, whats the point of having Insurance, then?
  13. Very sorry to hear the bad news, Carl/Marca, especially at this time, Christmas being just round the corner. Hope everything works out soon, to have the business going again. Can understand how hard it must be for you, to see the business you had started and had doing well, go up in flames. Take it easy, friend.
  14. I don't qualify to give you any advice...don't really have any ideas, but i would just like to say it has been a pleasure belonging to this club for quite a few years, having owned Yamaha Venture bikes. I ride a Kawasaki currently, but i would never abandon this club, where i have met some wonderful fellow motor cycle riders and their families, and have become real good friends with some, whose friendship i will always cherish. Would like the opportunity to thank you, Don, for putting up with us and running this site, the way, you have. Not an easy task for sure. May give up riding next year, cause of age, but you can count on my membership as long as i am around.
  15. Congratulations to you two.
  16. Got to move with the times......otherwise we would still be riding on wooden wheels...
  17. :draming:Just waiting for the Jays to lose, so all this hype can stop. I don't get excited about these games that i cant afford to go watch. Hell, if i have to pay the price, they demanding, and expecting me to stand up and shout at the top of my lungs at every pitch, and buy beers at ridiculous prices, i want no part of it. Now, for the ticket price, if i have two beauties standing on each side of me, one with an umbrella, and one with a fan, for warmer days, while i calmly watch the game...i might consider going for a game...oh and the hotdogs have to be on the house and i should be able to bring in my own beer. Okay...you all may now start pitching the hard ball at me.....
  18. jOB WELL DONE??? He worked for the government, Bob!
  19. Welcome to retirement, Dave....after the initial shock of not going to work is over, its smooth sailing after that. Good luck and HAPPY RETIREMENT !
  20. C'mon Carl...Robin deserves a day off too, today, from the house cleaning and doing the dishes... HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEAMER.
  21. Enjoy reading your posts, but not this one. Welcome to the over 50 Club. You have only 20 more years to go, to join MY Club. Wishing you well, and a quick recovery.....and a quick #2.:sign **** happens:
  22. My 97 Shadow Ace 1100 told me i was hooked...after having riden lots of bikes before, in my younger days.
  23. Looks real nice...
  24. Add my name to the list too....may very well give up riding end of this season. Just not the same any more. Wonder if its got anything to do with my wife's passing away, or whether turning 71 has anything to do with it? May be, a combination of both.:15_8_211[1]:At my age, one is more prone to get into an accident, cause of slow reflexes, vision problems, lack of strength, etc from ageing. So i figure why take a chance and be a burden to Son and his family....god forbid.
