16??? did you run out of fingers, maddabber? been playing with a chainsaw or something? heres a pic i took at the school auditorium of our group....and i'm not even in the pic. i hope i got all the names right...and if i didnt, please forgive me. i dont think i met the pretty lady whose name i put down as ???. sorry lady, but i dont think we were introduced. was hard to figure out who belonged to the ventureriders group and who didnt. carbon one and denden were gracious enough to come over and introduce themselves to me or else i wouldnt have known them either. was nice meeting you folks for the first time, and i hope we see each other again. was 'too bad we met under such circumstance', as squidly said to me when he came over to me seeing me in tears. sorry guys,,,but happens to me everytime at funerals cause i start imagining myself in the shoes of the children and close relatives of the deceased. the good company i had made the trip quite pleasant. have to remember to bring along some ducttape next time i ride with maddaber(darrell) in the same vehicle. just kiding, darrell. you are a fun guy to travel with.

They guy who wrote the column "Staying Safe", Larry Grotski, I think, was killed by a deer in Texas. so.......was the deer armed with a shotgun, or did he charge at larry grosslooking and killed him using the antlers as a weapon? maybe us riders should be riding at reasonable speeds so that if we see something in our way, we are able to stop. and if that isnt possible, then we shouldnt be riding at nights. then we would have no reason to blame the deers for the accidents WE cause. and yes...i hug trees....so what? -

whatever the majority decides, is fine with me. the other option i guess is going for dinner to a restaurant either in that area or when we get back to kitchener... regardless...thats nice of ramblingman inviting us. we do appreciate the thought.

sounds like a plan...

....next time you walk into the motel, park the bike a mile away....unroll the shirt sleeves, to hide the tatoos....spit out the toabacco before you enter the place...i would gargle too, if you have a bottle of water on you....tuck the pony tail under the baseball cap...now make sure it doesnt have a beer logo on it.....tell the rest of the gang to do a better job of hiding themselves and not to keep peeping from around the walls, cause these recepcionists have been trained well......and only come into the single room only after midnight, and make sure they push the bikes in without the engines running. has worked for me everytime! and............................

we should be able to workout something by thursday night, darrell. hopefully forecast changes by then, and we may be able to ride bikes.

am in shock.....really dont know what to say, i think enough has been sayd about this tragedy. just hoping god gives Gary lots of courage to get through this.....and may god rest his dear wife's soul in peace. AMEN! had the pleasure of meeting Gary quite a few times and his mrs once or twice, at venturerider meets and eats and at marcarls too. these two were made for each other and its not going to be easy, but hang in there, gary...and we hope time will heal your pain but first you have look after yourself and get well. all we can do, is pray....and pray, we will. Abdul.

very simple answer.... tourer if you love and have the time for long distance rides, or a cruiser if you just love taking off for day or shorter rides. and remember....the rsv is a real heavy sucker....do you have the height and strength to control it at slow speeds....with a passenger in the back? i wouldnt advise anyone under 60 yrs of age to go for an rsv...or any one shorter than 5'-6" in height. and if i wanted to hear music, i'd do it in my living room. i own an 89 venture royale and a honda shadow ace 1100. which i bought this spring. i used to be tense riding the venture, but am really enjoying riding my honda cruiser. the venture has been collecting dust in the garage and licking its wounds since i fell off it last year in spring.... since i got the shadow. but thats entirely MY opinion. many may not agree with my views.....and thats fine......and yes....i'm 5'-6" and over 60 in age.

real sorry to hear about ed.... wish him a quick recovery.............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................. but what i really would like to know, is.......how did the stuffed cuddly bear....i think it was.....or was it a froggy.....that he had strapped on his trunk make out? did it survive.....did it hang around to tend to ed.......or did it take the opportunity to make its escape??.........ed? you take care, buddy. and see you next years riding season.
