  1. How does somewhere around September 4 sound? We just need to come up with a decent restaurant and people will come. It wouldn't hurt if there were a DQ nearby. Any thoughts?
  2. Then my daughter and you would get along great!
  3. We need a southern PA M&E!
  4. Me and my navigator are in for two!
  5. Kids are off to college in the fall and Brenda and I will be empty nesters. One of the things on our list is to make our first MD!! We will absolutely contribute to this very good cause!!
  6. Very nice Tom!
  7. Highly mechanical? I was with my '69 Mustang! Not so much now. Your suggestion sounds good. When cold there is some hesitation on the low end that goes away quickly as it warms up. When it's warm it runs real good. I'll pass along your ideas. On his behalf, THANKS!
  8. So I met the owner of the 83 1st gen today. He's retired from HD. Nice guy. No internet access though. He said he would check out VR from his daughter's computer. He said, "I saw your Harley over there." I told him, "that's not a Harley. Your Venture will grow up to be that Venture!" He needs help adjusting his carbs, so I'll give him a hand with that. He's looking for a good repair manual so let me know if you have any suggestions. The bike runs good and is real clean. It shows 19k on the clock. He said that one plug had some oil on it. Any thoughts on that? If any first gen owners are coming through the York PA area, he would love to meet you and get any tips.
  9. And if you happen to be near York, PA this weekend, it is the annual Street Rod Fair. Several hundred cars are in town. Prior to this year it was open only to pre 1949 cars. This year it is opened up to pre-1970.
  10. I will keep that in mind! There might me a marketing idea - armed VR pygmy drones.
  11. I printed off some VR business cards tonight and will go introduce myself tomorrow.
  12. To paraphrase Adrian Cronauer (Robin Williams in Good Morning Vietnam), "It's oh-300. What's the "O" stand for? Oh my God it's early!"
  13. A first gen moved in across the street. I guess I should be polite and say hello. I don't want to seem snooty.
  14. She is actually a Half Witt too. The other half is Medlar. She laughed at me. She was also with me when I got my new Jeep Wrangler stuck in a snow bank in the grocery store parking lot a few years ago. She has some good ammo on dad.
  15. I was backing my bike into it's shed and got the laces caught on the kickstand. I couldn't shake it loose. I couldn't get the kickstand down. So I was in the shed yelling for my daughter, who was in the house, to come and save me!
  16. Things are great! Busy - but great! The twins are graduating HS next week. Daughter is then off to U of Richmond and son off to community college. I've completely rebuilt our guest house for our son to live in after graduation. That should be done in about two weeks. Once I get the kids settled in their respective futures Brenda and I will be ready to RIDE! We rode out to Valley Forge on Sunday which was real nice. You are the first member we met here and would love to ride down your way and say hello. We plan on lots of rides to Richmond over the next four years. We'll have to take a westerly detour and stop and see you. I'm sure there must be lots of stories you need to catch me up on! Sorry - didn't mean to hijack a thread. Love this site and love these people!
  17. The folks here are awesome! You've been here a year and I've been gone for most of the past year. So - a very belated welcome and if you pass through York County PA gimme a holler and we'll ride!
  18. I'll have to check that out!
  19. Hey all! My lovely bride got me an iPhone for my b-day last month. I love this thing! If you happen to have one, I just found a great app for BikeBandit. Load you bike in and you instantly have access to part diagrams, part numbers, et.c with pricing. You can even place an order for parts from the phone. What'll they think of next?? If you have an iPhone, what are your favorite apps?
  20. Your family is in our prayers!

I just won't be ready. I will try again soon. Maybe in the Fall?? We'll see. Hope to get together with y'all at other events in the meantime. Hope all is well!! Randy
