Important detail I left out

The Ride On instructions say - pull the nail out. They say that by leaving it in the hole will get bigger. I have Ride On and it did successfully seal a puncture.

I have thought about getting the Clearview. I'm 5-11 and my stock WS is too tall which makes it tough in fog or rain. (My friend with his Harley has the same problem - he sits up on the back seat to see - I don't think I want to try that) Do you see over the top of the LG Clearview? How tall are you?

I'm sorry I never got to the Astrodome - the 8th Wonder of the World. I will get down there one day. Gotta get the kids off to college in two years then my wife and I can take some extended adVentures. Maybe i can find a supplier in Houston that I need to go visit. Hmmmm...

I would hate to try to repeat that trip today with the prices the way they are. We drove that whole thing which at gas prices today would cost a fortune. I think it was somewhere around 3700 miles which would be somewhere around $700 just for gas. I also have some help as my friends brother was Clubhouse Manager for the Buffalo Bisons. He had enough contacts that we didn't pay for many of the games. But that was an awesome trip. In addition, I've been to all the old California stadiums (haven't been to new San Diego or San Franciso). And have been to both Atlanta stadiums. Went to RFK for a Nats game and hope to get down to their new stadium this year. I haven't been to Seattle, Minnesota, Texas or Florida stadiums. The same year we did that trip there was a guy named Bill and his friend Sue that went to every single professional baseball stadium in the country for a game. That was every major AND minor league stadium. Every night on ESPN they had an update on Bill and Sue's Excellent Adventure. Ah, the good ol' days. UPDATE: After posting this, I went and googled "Bill and Sue's Excellent Adventure" Bill is doing it again this year! This time he is by himself. The ballpark count this year will be 190. Must be nice to have that kind of disposable income!! Here's his story: http://www.thefreelibrary.com/THE+WRITING+ON+(AND+OFF)+THE+WALL+STADIUM+DRIFTER+ON+ROAD+AGAIN.-a099786890 Updated Update: Never mind - that story refers to the Montreal Expos. So it's at least a few years old.

Baseball is my first love. Back in '91 a friend and I took a trip and saw all 26 major league teams. 19 games, 18 days, 16 ballparks. Philly to Shea to Montreal to Pittsburgh to Cincinnati to Comiskey to Milwaukee to Comiskey to St Louis to KC to St. Louis to Wrigley to Detroit to Cleveland to Yankee Stadium to Boston to Baltimore. Since then, only five remain and after this year only three. Would love to do the same trip again on the bike. I've been to a total of 23 stadiums. Can anyone top that?

This being my first full season on my RSV, I was hoping to attend. I was disappointed that the dates just don't work. A wedding and two birthdays plus family vacation starting on 7/13. Hope to see y'all next year.

That is painful!! Tell her you were looking at her and got distracted!

I also received my Ride Like A PRo for Christmas. I have watched the whole thing once and now am practicing the first couple of exercises. I am already much better at low speed handling but I have lots of room for improvement! I've just had the bike out a couple of times this year. I had to do more important things first like hanging my new Guardian Bell! Anyway, there's an old abandoned department store not too far from home. I will use their parking lot to practice.

I've donated $5 to VR twice now. I'm hoping that will be the end of my donations. Imagine what Don could do with the site (or the server bills he could pay) if everyone donated $5 for each drop!

Hey Yammer Dan - Isn't that the 1st Gen you picked up in Balto last year?

My wife smacks me in the head at home too so really, being on the bike is no different.

Well, wife and I got on the scoot for a ride up to Hershey. Didn't get too far. Flat tire. I've been meaning to order some Ride-On. Is this only available on line? Does Wally World carry it?
-
Well, if nobody is going to get this then I'm off to Hershey Park tomorrow. The Ferris Wheel is right next to the road. My wife will enjoy her first ride of the season. You have 24 hours to beat me to it. If I win, I'll pick the snowman...

My wife and I use the OEM Yamaha which is a J&M. We also have the 3/4 helmets and we both typically have faceshields up. We run voice through the headset and music through the sound system (which, in PA is the only legal option). We have no problem hearing each other and the sound is clear. The only issue we have is balancing music with voice. Hard to hear both on the highway. We are very happy with the set up. If I had it do over again and I had a few extra bucks, I would have gone bluetooth. If for no other reason, just to eliminate the cable. My wife leaves hers attached since every time we're two up we are hooked up. Mine is on and off depending on if I'm solo or with her. I would guess that eventually the little plastic doo-dad (I think that's the technical term) that holds the headset cord into the helmet is going to break. Oh, and the dealer where I purchased our helmets installed the headsets for us at no charge.

I wasn't complaining! Actually, I'm in PA and there is a lighthouse down by the mighty Susquehanna River not far from here. I like the lighthouse idea. I've always enjoyed taking photos of lighthouses. If I could get up to Maine in the next few days I would do it! Good job on the ball parks by the way. I was trying to think of something appropriate to NCAA basketball, tax returns and then it hit me....my favorite, no second favorite, make it third favorite thing in life is baseball. Had to go with that.

Probably won't get a winner from Kansas on this one!

Next target is: Where is the longest covered bridge in California?

I was trying to find a place to set the camera and had the bike there just to get everything in the frame. A jogger came by and I flagged him down to take the picture. As soon as he took the picture I realized the trunk was still open. But the guy didn't seem to eager to be a photographer so I didn't ask him to retake it. Oh well...
-
Not a great picture but this was at 12:09 PM EDT today. I had all sorts of thoughts for a new target but in honor of the opening of the new baseball season... You with a baseball cap on, your bike, a baseball field (your bike doesn't need to be ON the baseball field) Play ball!

CD players are so 20th century. SirXMius with MP3 and quality GPS, Boston Acoustics sound, ability for passenger to change channel/song, bluetooth for headset, ABS, no linked brakes!, quality OEM tires, LED lighting, center stand. I think that's a good start for me.
