Bill - I would like to put together a PA M&E. I've never been to one but would like to meet some fellow VR riders. How about some tips on organizing? I'm all ears (or eyes as the case may be).

My wife and I use the OEM which IS J&M. I don't recall which model it crosses to though. But, we have had no issues other than my wife forgetting about the volume knob on her armrest. I do wish I could adjust the volume for mine. We have a hard time hearing when we have music on (through the dash) but I don't think that is a headset problem. We like our OEM but I would imagine a $200 set would be better. Again, it's what the budget will bear.

My wife and I and Cecdoo had a good ride down the York County side of the Susquehanna and back up the Lancaster side. Nice little 90 minute spur of the moment ride. Too bad we had things to do. Since we got back home I have cleaned the fish pond while my wife mulched. Would rather be riding! I did give Craig a lesson in locking the rear brake. Sorry about that quick left!! Oh, we also found a good place for a PA M&E. I'm good any time except the first half of July. Who's in?

Just horsin' around...and I'm not in the handicapped spot. I'm just blocking it.

Finally have the diamond...the sign is the diamond. If all agree this meets the criteria then the next target is...you, your bike and "Welcome to XXXXX National Forest" - you know, one of those big brown signs as you enter a national forest. Have a good and safe ride!

If that were the case, I'd keep my old 2nd gen. Doesn't look nearly as comfortable, especially for the passenger. I can't go from a La-Z-Boy on wheels to a park bench on wheels. A lot less storage space too.

That is sweet! Who'll be the first kid on your block to have one?

Oh to be young and bullet-proof again. Check out this video (I hope this link works): http://www.kptv.com/video/16365346/index.html

Just emailed my wife. I would imagine her response will be "absolutely!". We were thinking about a run to a winery - maybe Pinnacle in Kutztown but that is not much of a ride for you. I'll let you know what she comes back with...

2008 VentureRider Rally in Ontario needs your attention.
halfwitt replied to a topic in Watering Hole
Well, speaking on behalf of myself only, I seem to recall a survey on the dates for the rally. I voted for some other date range. I am best man in a wedding on July 4th. My kids turn 16 on July 6th. I am taking them to get learners permits on July 8th. We have family vacation starting on July 11th. I am not afraid to cross the border. I have been to Toronto area many times and love the area. I would love to take a ride up there with my lovely bride and take her to Greektown for dinner and a show. However, of the 13 weeks that make up summer, this is the worst possible time for me. Sorry. Hope to see everyone at the next rally. -

I have been wanting to ride Rte 6. Rider Magazine had it as a Favorite Ride a few months ago. I'll try to find the article tonight and I can scan and email to you if you would like. -
My wife and I looked at the 1200 LT as well as Gold Wing and HD last year before settling on the RSV. The two finalists were the BMW and the Venture. My wife case the deciding vote based on passenger comfort. You have a nice ride there though! We've been talking about an Outer Banks ride. We'll holler if we head down your way!

I've been out of town and now we have three days of rain. I'll get this Thursday if no one has it by then!

Depends on the budget. I have a Nuvi 350 which is great for the price. I also have a separate XM but I use that between bike and car. The Zumo has built in XM and is designed with motorcycles in mind. If you have the $$ go with the Zumo.

That's great news! Keep the good news coming! You and Jeannie are in our prayers.

I like the Dennis Kirk guage. But be careful with the item number you order. I accidently ordered the 0-100 psi which doesn't do you a whole lot of good: Five models of gauge-mounted pumps are ideal for low-volume, high-pressure systems (i.e. forks, shocks) Each Micro Pocket Pump has a 2 3/4 in. stroke and a 9 in. flex connector, with a built-in gauge and bleed valve Lightweight and easy to use; each stroke adds .7 cu. in. of air A special connector prevents air loss when connecting and disconnecting Available in: 0-15 psi: 28236 0-30 psi: 28234 0-60 psi: 28235 0-100 psi: 28224 0-300 psi: 282090
