You are absolutely welcome! We still have room for at least a dozen more.
-
I checked with the restaurant. We're good for up to 35 people. We are somewhere around 20 right now. Maybe we can get some more representation from PENNSYLVANIA! My wife just told me that we'll go to the next M&E in Virginia since you guys keep coming up for ours. Let us know when it is. Maybe we can get one a month in the mid-Atlantic?
-
I hope you can join us - If you want to meet in York somewhere and ride down with us that would be great.
-
That would be great! Keep me posted. This is looking pretty good!

We're officially meeting at noon. Looking forward to meeting a lot of new people. If you haven't seen Gettysburg, you should try to spend some time touring the battlefield. If you are a Civil War buff, there are a lot of shops in town you may find interesting. Looking forward to it!
-
OK - Does noon work for everyone? Anytime is good with me. I'm an hour away.

I am in contact with the restaurant and will let everyone know the time as soon as I have it. I'm thinking early afternoon (2:00ish?) because some folks will be coming up from Virginia. I'll post the time as soon as I get a tentative count and make the reservation.

April 18th it is. We'll call it my birthday party! We are going to meet at Dunlap's Restaurant (http://www.dunlapsrestaurant.com/) The restaurant is about 1/2 mile from the battlefield. If interested, Battlefield HD is about 5 miles east on Rte 30. Make sure you take a ride through the battlefield if you have never been there. I need to make a reservation so please RSVP (even if tentative) to: halfwitt1@comcast.net. I look forward to seeing everyone/anyone!

Where are you planning to travel this summer?
halfwitt replied to Yama Mama's topic in Watering Hole
Mrs. Halfwitt and I will be taking some day trips and maybe an overnighter or two but our vacation time is going to be spent going on college visits. My soon to be 17 yo twins are searching for their institutions of higher learning. Then the next four years we will have college bills. So - our next major bike trip should be 2013! -
It will definintely be a Saturday. April 18th just opened up for me so I might shoot for that.
-
OK - I'm tired of sitting...I want to put together the first Southern PA M&E of the year and am thinking Gettysburg. My problem is that April is booked solid so I can't commit to anything before May 2nd. Who's interested?
-
Just quit for one cigarette at a time. When you want one - just think you're going to pass THIS time. It does get easier. I'm smoke free 16 years in April. Good luck!!!

It's gotta be a money scam somehow...maybe they get credit card info to ship the mutts to you? I haven't see this one before. Hey but there is a real Rev Tony Brown: http://www.fbcwhitesburg.org/staff/pastor.html

or my XXXL noggin I have only found HJC and Arai. My wife and I both have 3/4 Arais and they are quite comfortable.

Click the "Venture History" button at the top. Good info there... Oh, and with this economy, any dealer/seller would be a fool for not negotiating!

If you go all the way to Key West there is a lot of night life on Duval Street. The north end of Duval will be much more enjoyable for a couple. There are a few places in the middle that are fun but you better be open minded! Key West is great - I have enjoyed getting in trouble there!

I vote for a group hug and a summary of other tire threads which would show that Avon Venoms seem to be the overwhelming favorite, though a few detest them. Dunlops are probably second place followed by Continental. Metzlers are generally not cared for and some feel they are, in fact, dangerous. Bridgestone's are a near unaninimous least favorite ride. That's my 2 cents and some loose change from others.

That's hard earned money that could be going for accessories!

I hate Rap, it ain't real music it's crap, I hate Rap
halfwitt replied to Midrsv's topic in Watering Hole
I was with my 16 year old son laast night at Wal Mart while he picked out some new CDs. He got Eagles, Chicago and Blood Sweat & Tears. I said "You have great taste in music!". He said, "got it from you, dad!" I am so glad both my teenagers have good (IMHO) taste in music! One other story - 16+ years ago my then 16 YO niece came to spend the summer with us while my wife was pregnant with our twins. I told her she just had to remember the two "R's" - No Rap and No 'Rastlin'! She behaved. -
Well you win if for no other reason than you got into the parking lot! We couldn't get into Hershey and took the pic from a gas station next door. Funny thing, on the way home there was a place where we had a great view of the mighty Susqehanna River and I was thinking about maybe having the next target be some body of water. Good work!
-
You beat me by 17 minutes! My wife and I did a 100 mile loop up to Hershey Park. Their wooden roller coaster is in the background. Oh well. Next time!!

That stinks Thom...I hope it all works out for you. At least Nationwide is a legitimate company.

Back in '93 my wife and I were 2 packs a day each. We had 6 month old twins. They were starting to cough. It was a Friday night and we said, "We really need to quit." We chain smoked the last of our cigs and haven't looked back since. Don't miss it at all. I smell the smokers at work and never realized how bad I must've smelled. Third best thing I ever did in my life.

My introduction to the RSV was in a showroom. My wife and I wanted a touring bike. I had my eyes on a Wing for a few years. I owned a Suzi Intruder. Whenever I would go into the local dealer, I would go check out the Gold Wings. When new model years came out, I would go on the Honda site and build a Wing. Sometimes at work, I would go ogle the Wing pics on the Honda site. I'm in York County, PA where if you don't own an HD, you don't own a bike. That in itself was enough for me to NOT want an HD. So it had to be a Wing or BMW. We sat on a BMW, wife didn't like it. We were buying for both of us so that eliminated the BMW. So I'm down to a Wing. Anyway, I ordered some new tires for the Suzi one day. My wife saw the RSV hiding behind "my" Wing. "Hey, Hon...check this out." I came on this site and asked some questions and I did some other research. The dealer called to tell me my tires were in. I went back to the dealer and we looked some more at the RSV. I told Mike the Dealer Guy, to keep the Suzi tires, keep the Intruder and give me the RSV. Haven't looked back since. This site and the people here had A LOT to do with our decision. We love this bike! Nice pin by the way - I would love to have it!!
