  1. You’re welcome for the little input I had. You’re more than right about this joint, I’ve learned more about these bikes here than I ever imagined.
  2. If you do that you have to trailer it everywhere.
  3. I throw a .38sp on my hip when out in the woods or messing around places I might kick up one of those rattle headed copper moccasins or such. I don’t think anything about stopping in for a sandwich or cold drink somewhere, people don’t pay attention out in the country stores but look at you a little funny in town with a shooter on your side. Most Leo’s around here encourage packing, they understand they’re usually minutes away when seconds matter.
  4. Yep. One of my firefighters brought a stiletto to work this week he got from Academy Sports. Our permit is Concealed Carry Weapon, not just firearm. That WWII prize would be perfectly legal here. I went to Wally World this morning and saw a guy with a Glock on his belt with extra mags. Not many open carry but it’s legal, I’d rather people not know if I’m strapped or not.
  5. Yep. Ky has always been an open carry state and in the last couple years went Constitutional Carry. If you legally own it you can conceal carry without permit. We’ve had CCW permits since the mid 90’s. Our permits also allow weapons besides guns. Brass knuckles, switchblades, saps, etc.
  6. Here ya go Puc. Glock 43X with a 20 for comparison.
  7. Have you looked at the Glock 43X? Slightly wider and grip longer, fits bigger hands much better than a 43 and has a 10+1 mag. I bought one a few months ago and is now my CCW go to.
  8. Cool. If you haven’t yet look in the read only tech library how to grease the hub, pins, shaft, etc. It should set you up for many miles of smiles.
  9. Those final drives are usually cheap on ebay. Be a lot easier to just swap in another one.
  10. I’m not an anti-vaxer by any means. My kids had all their shots when they were scheduled. However I just can’t bring myself to trust this one with so little testing. I’ve been called unpatriotic and told I don’t respect my department or the city I signed on to protect for these views. I declined the shot. My biggest worry though is for my daughters, neither married yet. There is no information about child bearing women or the effects on their future children.
  11. I was starting to think we were gonna hafta send out a search party for ya, welcome back.
  12. It will vary some bike to bike, I have leveling links raising mine up without lengthening the side stand so the oil is out of the glass on the stand. I usually ride it up on the lift table before a ride to check oil and tires. I built/added a wheel chock on the table that holds it vertical without clamping it so it’s a quick easy job. Air pressure changes in the shock will also change oil levels on the stand.
  13. Happy to see she’s doing better. Take good care of her. We’ve not had internet or phones until today due to the Nashville bombing so I’ve been out of the loop.
  14. I don’t understand all the confusion. I’ve had drs say one drug works just to hear another say it doesn’t. They keep talking about herd immunity from the shots but then I hear studies say the immunization doesn’t keep you from getting Covid it only lessens symptoms. We’re fighting now over the shots, I don’t want/trust it but the city wants us do get it.
  15. Merry Christmas to all y’all. Both girls home, Ham in the oven and brisket in the smoker. Gonna be a good day.
  16. Prayers up from way down here in KY.
  17. For what it’s worth I re-used them all on my 07 last year. So far so good. Not advising you to do it but mine were still pliable.
  18. Buy a set of those stick on blind spot mirrors. I use them so I can keep an eye on my trailer.
  19. Well you have until MD to get it done.
  20. Glad to hear that.
  21. Thanks Carl, I went ahead and ASS-U-MEd the dates and laid claim to that weekend. Now I just hope it works out, with the Covid crap going on and the fact we’ve been chronically short staffed they’re not letting us plan vacation time over two weeks in advance. I also claimed the Vogel weekend. 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
  22. I’d noticed over the last few months I hadn’t seen Gary McBee around town and just saw that he’d passed at the end of September from a brain tumor. He rode a Hannigan RSV trike, he had talked the last couple of years of riding with me up to Don’s for MD but his health kept him from it. I looked back, Gary hasn’t been active here for over a year.
  23. I looked on the calendar and don't see the dates for Rally at the Shores. We're claiming vacation days at work and want to get it. Is the date set?
  24. Some go to a 130 front tire or lower the front to make the bike feel lighter at low speeds. Some raise the rear for the same reason. The RSTD comfort level is hard to beat but you have to ride your ride. Ride em both and see which one makes you smile wider.
  25. Prayers up. Hope for an easy recovery.
