  1. Sounds like there is some interest. I’ll check with the park about their rules and pavilion use. I’m thinking the first weekend in June if it doesn’t conflict with MD.
  2. Paris is only 30 minutes away from us.
  3. I ride almost 800 miles to the WNY rally, 550 to Freebird’s, and trying to fit Vogel in my schedule at 350 miles. I don’t know how many can/will travel this far. If we can get the turnout it can be anything from an MD type thing at my place to a rally. Lots of good riding here for short rides or long, we can plan a tour of the Hannigan factory, or just sit around and eat and tell stories (assuming the border is open). TN highway 232 (West TN Dragon) is 30 minutes away. Ky lake is well known for bass and crappie fishing, 20-30lb catfish caught regularly with occasional up to 80 lb. May/June cats are biting from the bank. Civil war fort and history nearby.
  4. I’ve been kicking around the idea of hosting a get together for a couple years, the hold up is there aren’t many members in the area. I’m posting the idea to try to gauge interest in the idea. NSA Joe n Debbie came in to Hannigans this week and we rode some and kicked the idea around. I’m looking at Kenlake State Park on KY Lake, the largest man made lake in the Eastern US. Plenty of camping, cabins, lodge onsite, and nearby accommodations. Just across the bridge is Land Between the Lakes national wildlife refuge and good riding. There is also lodging in nearby Aurora with motels and fishing cabins for lower priced rooms. 5-10 minutes away. Timing would probably be late May or early June to beat the heat and humidity of summer here. Please give me some feedback to see if we can get enough people to make it a go. Kenlake is a 20 minute ride from Murray with stores, supplies, etc.
  5. Scott is a local here in town. I was on duty when this happened, all we knew was he had serious injury since it happened outside our response area. Glad to see him back at it.
  6. Hey Steve, I’m on the other side of the lakes from you. Get her up and running and give me a yell, we can meet up and ride LBL or something. I’m in Murray.
  7. I get it Chief. I ran my own business for several years until I decided the boss was an A$$HOLE for making me work so many hours. It took me getting hurt and off work for 6 months to realize I didn’t have to work so much to live. I’m semi-retired and hoping to make it completely retired within the year.
  8. I’m jealous that you’ve ridden 50k already, hard for me to find the time.
  9. Wow, not only does the picture seem to show her existence but she’s sitting close enough to appear she might like him. 🤣🤣 Happy Birthday.
  10. Part 49 of what Carl? Your schematic is blank. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  11. Is it just me or is the axle too far forward for good pulling?
  12. I don’t think Larry is making those anymore. I built a set for my bike, I’ll be glad to share pics and drawings if you want to tackle it yourself. Scroll down to video labeled Newkirk to see them, they fold up to get on/off the bike.
  13. I’m thinking maybe a lift for hot steel in a blacksmith shop. ???????????
  14. I know the used the later rear drive Cougar and T-Bird pumpkins, not sure what else. They are 7.5” rear ends.
  15. Wow, glad for you that the dealership is taking care of you. This is another example of why I shy away from new designs of anything, there is an inherent learning curve and issues to be worked out. Not to mention my technophobias 😬😬😬. I seem to end up like your buddy’s story. Hope this gets you miles of smiles.
  16. I have a friend into hams. I can forward pics to him to get an idea.
  17. The points are the most common issue for the pump. They are easily replaced and if my memory is correct they are around $30. Don’t use the cheap internet pumps, they don’t hold up.
  18. Hannigan uses Ford car rear ends, they cut them down and make the independent suspension axles. The pumpkin needs to be mounted upside down as drive shaft rotation on the bike is opposite of a car.
  19. I like organic on the rear, less lockup.
  20. Search rampless trailers and watch some videos. I’m considering one if the day comes we decide to haul the bike, now we just ride the whole trips. No way I’d put a heavy bike on the hitch.
  21. A couple of great Reagan-isms.
  22. Why would they adjust the valves at 5000? Way early.
  23. Are all 4 choke/enrichers closing fully?
  24. Are they seated correctly? Vacuum leaks can cause it to go high. Also check your cable routing that they are closing.
  25. Easy choice for me. Marlin 1894 .44mag. Dad bought one new in ‘75 or 76 to deer hunt with. We hunted deep woods where a 75 yard shot was hard to do so we didn’t need high speed guns. I took my first few deer with that gun and bought its twin right after high school. I can’t even estimate the number of deer I’ve taken with it. It’s just automatic that I reach for it the 2nd Saturday in November, I go back 35-40 years when it goes bang. There’s a safe full of different rifles and calibers but the first day of season is reserved for the 44. One of my brothers has dad’s rifle, we don’t hunt together often but it sure is fun to sit in a tree and hear that distinctive boom on a frosty morning.
