Which one? If I’m on it I won’t be anymore.

I tried to recommend Ed’s splitter cable (Buddy Rich cable) to someone and their web presence is gone. I googled it and a GW site says he’s ill and closed down. I’m using his splitter and Bluestreak cell integration and they work great.

It looks like there is enough interest to move forward with this, I will start checking with the state park about pavilion usage rules and camping accommodations. I will get in touch with Don about scheduling to make sure we have dates that will work for Maintenance Day and start making plans. There is a lady here in town that has had annual get togethers for several years that has volunteered her time to assist with planning. Since I'm a go big or go home type of guy lets try to get a crowd. For any that want to come early to check out the lake there are boat and jet ski rentals at the park along with bait and tackle. KY has a 1 day and 7 day fishing permits for out of staters.

Long time no see, so an update

I’d replace the thermostat as the first step as it’s cheap and is a good idea to swap out periodically anyway. -
I’m doing my best to make it, hope some of y’all down south can make it up here next summer to a KY rally.

Welcome to the circus. You’re in the right place to keep her on the road. The water pump or thermostat is usually the overheat issue but also check the bypass at the bottom of the radiator to make sure it’s turned in the right direction.

Contact me before you go, I am trying to work it out so that I can go too. I'm supposed to be moving my daughter in a dorm in Huntsville that Saturday but trying to get it moved to Sunday. If it works out we can ride down together if you're interested.

Crazy how that works ain't it?

This is for 2022. School ends late May so the first weekend in June is what I’m thinking if it doesn’t mess you up for MD. I plan to make it to MD too. Late June, July, and August here are very hot and humid so they’re out.
-
Sounds like there is some interest. I’ll check with the park about their rules and pavilion use. I’m thinking the first weekend in June if it doesn’t conflict with MD.

Paris is only 30 minutes away from us.

I ride almost 800 miles to the WNY rally, 550 to Freebird’s, and trying to fit Vogel in my schedule at 350 miles. I don’t know how many can/will travel this far. If we can get the turnout it can be anything from an MD type thing at my place to a rally. Lots of good riding here for short rides or long, we can plan a tour of the Hannigan factory, or just sit around and eat and tell stories (assuming the border is open). TN highway 232 (West TN Dragon) is 30 minutes away. Ky lake is well known for bass and crappie fishing, 20-30lb catfish caught regularly with occasional up to 80 lb. May/June cats are biting from the bank. Civil war fort and history nearby.

I’ve been kicking around the idea of hosting a get together for a couple years, the hold up is there aren’t many members in the area. I’m posting the idea to try to gauge interest in the idea. NSA Joe n Debbie came in to Hannigans this week and we rode some and kicked the idea around. I’m looking at Kenlake State Park on KY Lake, the largest man made lake in the Eastern US. Plenty of camping, cabins, lodge onsite, and nearby accommodations. Just across the bridge is Land Between the Lakes national wildlife refuge and good riding. There is also lodging in nearby Aurora with motels and fishing cabins for lower priced rooms. 5-10 minutes away. Timing would probably be late May or early June to beat the heat and humidity of summer here. Please give me some feedback to see if we can get enough people to make it a go. Kenlake is a 20 minute ride from Murray with stores, supplies, etc.

Scott is a local here in town. I was on duty when this happened, all we knew was he had serious injury since it happened outside our response area. Glad to see him back at it. -
Hey Steve, I’m on the other side of the lakes from you. Get her up and running and give me a yell, we can meet up and ride LBL or something. I’m in Murray.

It’s all about the dealership
RDawson replied to ChiefGunner's topic in Star Venture and Eluder Tech Talk ( '18 - Present)
I get it Chief. I ran my own business for several years until I decided the boss was an A$$HOLE for making me work so many hours. It took me getting hurt and off work for 6 months to realize I didn’t have to work so much to live. I’m semi-retired and hoping to make it completely retired within the year. -

I’m jealous that you’ve ridden 50k already, hard for me to find the time. -
Wow, not only does the picture seem to show her existence but she’s sitting close enough to appear she might like him. 🤣🤣 Happy Birthday.

Is it just me or is the axle too far forward for good pulling?

I don’t think Larry is making those anymore. I built a set for my bike, I’ll be glad to share pics and drawings if you want to tackle it yourself. Scroll down to video labeled Newkirk to see them, they fold up to get on/off the bike.

I’m thinking maybe a lift for hot steel in a blacksmith shop. ???????????

Wow, glad for you that the dealership is taking care of you. This is another example of why I shy away from new designs of anything, there is an inherent learning curve and issues to be worked out. Not to mention my technophobias 😬😬😬. I seem to end up like your buddy’s story. Hope this gets you miles of smiles.
