I have some at low rpms, not much. I bought it used so I have no idea which basket is in it. I could see it bothering me if I had the low speed whine at highway speed.

New bike. At least it feels like it. I replaced the front rotors (warped one last time I installed a tire when it shot out of the bead breaker), new whoa pads on both ends, flushed the iced tea out of both brake systems, and the hot chocolate out of the clutch hydraulics. Ashamed I let the fluids go this long. Changed the oil and monkeyed with tire pressure a little, and installed the radiator guard that came from Ky Bigmac’s wife. Now I just need to clean it up before I head out to Vogel.

Well since @steamerbought arm rests from Eykamp in another thread me smells a Hannigan in the works. HHHMMMMM. By the way you don’t have to show my scooter pic to Robin, she might tan my behind 😁

I haven’t done a first gen but Yamaha was stingy with the grease in the neck on my 2nd gen. My thoughts were that once I spent the time to tear it down replacing them was the way to go. New bearings with plenty of grease should outlast me.

Really hate that Covid got MD and WNY this year. I’m getting to make Vogel the first time next week. Wish there were more members closer to this area to do some M&Es. I may be retired before the rally here next May, almost positive I will be before the following year so if we get a good turnout I can see that becoming an annual event. There’s some really nice riding here, you can come in on interstate or good smaller roads.

Be careful of that, check your local laws. When Hannigan introduced the HRT (Hannigan Reverse Trike) for the Goldwing they did a double conversion and had a lot of trouble, some states labeled it a passenger car since it had 4 tires so it had to meet safety regulations of a car. I don’t know how it ended up but he had a fight on his hands to build them. His first argument was all bikes with a bolt on trike kit have 4 tires.

No matter what brand I ran I always wore out two rears to one front until I went darkside. Now it’s almost two fronts to one rear.

Well heck if that’s what made me maybe I need to bottle and sell it. Course since they raise cattle on that creek now I might need to go upstream a ways.

If it got hot we stopped at the nearest house and drank from the hose. Nobody ran us off from that. Drank from the creeks too, no telling what was in that water. Maybe that’s why I have a strong immunity.

GUILTY as charged. I had a rollover and ejected at 16, I suffered a broken back but without a doubt it would’ve been fatal had I stayed in the seat. The flip side of that is that I’ve cut a lot of people out of wrecks the last 20 years, I can name a few where a seatbelt did or would have saved lives and/or injuries. The number of lives saved outnumber by far the lives cost. However I still believe it’s a personal choice. I consistently wear a helmet, but on the way home from WNY last year I had to go without it due to heat sickness, glad I had the choice.

I hope that means this is just a temporary setback and you’re on the way to good.

You nailed it Bum. At 51 with no known underlying health issues I feel completely comfortable taking the risk of a virus that has a 1.4% mortality rate here (I don’t know if that compares nationally). Of that 1.4% every case where I knew the person they all had serious health issues before Covid. To me it’s about the rights and government overreach. I made the choice to vaccinate only because wearing a mask in a firehouse is a royal pain. I really believe this latest mask push is designed to drive up vaccine rates, they won/I lost !*#%*

My wife’s shoulder was extremely sore for a couple days, mine is barely sore at all. I was run down all day but I don’t know if it’s the shot or the heat. I’ve been out in it last few days.

I got my first Maderna shot today. I like the last part, I’ll claim the city made me fat by forcing the shots on me. Think I’ll get a settlement? 🤣🤣🤣

I’d check the oil for gas in it. The only time I use ethanol is when I’m on a long ride. I try to get my last fill up on a trip 130-150 miles from home and fill up with “good gas” when I get home.

I keep a Harbor Freight nitrile o-ring assorted box in the shop. Had good luck with them so far.
