I get that, however that’s the same argument people use to try to ban motorcycles, force helmet laws, seatbelts, alcohol, tobacco etc. etc. The city stopped short of mandating the shot but made life so hard at work if you didn’t that I finally caved and got it. As far as the $$$ I get the same feeling every time I see my tax dollars and med bills wasted for those that choose not to work and pay their own way. I finally came to the conclusion I’m gonna work, pay my bills, and live like I want while a 1/3 of my income disappears since I only get one shot at it.

Not sure when the 1st gens changed but all 2nd gens are 4 brush.

Be very careful those things can hurt you quick. As for the shortage we have a $3 million fire station that’s been waiting 3 weeks to open because of no door springs.

Using a 40 amp relay doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a 40 amp circuit, I don’t think our stator even runs that high. The amp draw of the circuit should determine wire size, I always use a heavier than needed relay on about everything, cuts down on failure.

I got to meet them both at Don’s MD last time.

I know we’ve beaten that horse to death about the air cooled V-Twin but I think they alienated the Venture faithful. We’ve seen them clearance priced all the way down to $12k brand new.

With some things we have going on it looks like I’m gonna have to trailer down this trip, never done that. Really thinking about running to the HD shop for some window stickers to camouflage it a bit and hide my shame. See y’all Thursday.

If you dive in to replacement the job isn’t too bad, the lower race is the biggest pain. Some use a sharp punch and go at it, I reached in from the bottom and welded a piece of steel to the race and had a good surface to set a punch on. Instead of completely removing the inner fairing I just tied it up with a strap from the ceiling.

I have some at low rpms, not much. I bought it used so I have no idea which basket is in it. I could see it bothering me if I had the low speed whine at highway speed.
