GUILTY as charged. I had a rollover and ejected at 16, I suffered a broken back but without a doubt it would’ve been fatal had I stayed in the seat. The flip side of that is that I’ve cut a lot of people out of wrecks the last 20 years, I can name a few where a seatbelt did or would have saved lives and/or injuries. The number of lives saved outnumber by far the lives cost. However I still believe it’s a personal choice. I consistently wear a helmet, but on the way home from WNY last year I had to go without it due to heat sickness, glad I had the choice.
