  1. Down here in the Midwest the weather is crazy as usual. Had 70s last week and tornadoes. Back in the 70s again now, predicting high 60s Saturday and accumulating snow Sunday.
  2. Merry Christmas to all y’all. Brought the marm n kids to Florida for an early Christmas, just as warm back in Ky. Between the tornadoes and this trip the bikes been setting. Hope to remedy that this week.
  3. Confirmed today that there were only eight deaths in the candle factory, while any are terrible it is much better than anticipated. They haven't released the number of injured but I talked to the chief of another dept within minutes of the collapse and was told there were over 100 trapped. Luckily most were able to walk out once a small amount of debris was removed. The storm shelter area of the plant did its job.
  4. That’s so good to hear. I had a firefighter on shift during the storm that lives near Mayfield. He knew his area got hit but no idea if his house was ok or not. He finished the shift, went home, and found he was less than a mile from the path.
  5. I hauled a pickup load to Mayfield today donated by the UK Med School students. They’ve raised a large amount of $$$ to buy supplies for the three cities hit in Ky. I’m waiting to hear back but I have offered to take a 45’ box trailer to Lexington and haul those supplies. It’s gonna be a long recovery. I’m hoping the numbers released today by the candle factory are correct. They’re saying only 8 confirmed dead with 9 missing, that’s incredible if true.
  6. I’ve never seen anything like this. It split around us and wiped out communities all around us. I was on shift during the storms and fielding calls all over. We sent our technical rescue unit to Mayfield to assist. Longest 24 hour shift I’ve ever worked. It destroyed Mayfield, damaged several communities, took out at least 3 fire Dept’s, hurt and killed unknown numbers. It wiped out a lake front subdivision just miles from where we’re hosting the rally in May. The heaviest damage is very near @Ky. Rider, I’ve sent him an email but haven’t heard back yet. West KY can use your prayers.
  7. I wish I had your patience, the restoration is great.
  8. 72* and sunny here today, I got in a few miles running some errands. Supposed to be the same tomorrow and Saturday but I have a 48 hr shift so I’ll miss it, rain Sunday.
  9. Melt on contact he says. Worse than that though I fried the ECM Thursday about midnight 1/2 way to Indy. $1800 tow bill got me there after spending 7hours on the side of I65 freezing trying to get her going. The upside though I was hauling band equipment for our local high school, they won the national championship.
  10. Single rear axle, short frame truck.
  11. Don’t say that!!! I’ll be driving a single screw day cab with a 45’ racing trailer, it doesn’t like the S*** word.
  12. I’ll be in Indianapolis this weekend, don’t look that good then.
  13. No such thing as end of season. We do have a two week down time we call deer season.
  14. The whining on my bike usually originates in the area of the back seat.
  15. Try riding straight thru a puddle and look at the tracks to see if it’s tracking straight. Tires? Pressure? Fork damage? Some of the things I’d check.
  16. I just turn it up. We have cheaper IMC headsets and while the speakers work the bike speakers are better. Maybe higher in headsets are better.
  17. Not a dumb question but yes it’s just the motor oil. Some pull that bolt during oil changes to get that out, there’s not much there so I personally don’t mess with it.
  18. For the top two I’d heavily protect the area and weld a nut on em and back it out with a socket. Just set a nut over the protruding bolt and mig weld inside the nut. The weld heat will release the loctite and they should easily back out. The big question is what caused this and why were they taking it apart.
  19. @djh3 is right, also look at your swingarm bearings. They can also cause a loose front feeling. Fork pressure equal? Or maybe a combination of two or more of those mentioned. My 07 front plants very well. Last thought are you running an OEM size front tire?
  20. I have one I built using Don’s instructions, I didn’t find a spring locally and decided to go with the adapter and jack route. I’ll dig it up before the rally here in May, somebody can leave here with it.
  21. The Buddy Rich cable only ties the helmet wired mic into the system to allow phone calls while riding. The audio out will allow gps voice to go over stereo. Audio in I assume will let you stream music if plugged into your phone.
  22. To use the mic in you’d need a mic splitter cable, I don’t know of anyone still building it. Audio out would plug in the aux input for the stereo. The splitter known around here as the Buddy Rich cable was only available from Buddy or Edsets.com as far as I know.
  23. Congrats. Great bikes
  24. The hop n skip don’t bother me, it’s the 168hrs in the last 13 days getting to me. I can’t even make it he 8 miles to Ky Lake.
  25. Right state, wrong lake. Wish I could make it over to drown a worm with you but it’s 225 miles and they’re trying to work us to death. Make it down to the rally in May and we can scare up some cats in Ky Lake. It’s a good bass n crappie lake too.
