  1. I found a 96 Timeout Dart trailer locally, looks to be in good shape other than the cooler cover, lid shocks, and tires. I know they are the cheapest Time-out made but I really like the looks of it. My concern is the rubber in the torsion axles. We know rubber breaks down with age but has anyone dealt with it in an axle? Parts and labor to replace the axle stubs isn’t cheap. He’s high on the price right now so I may be wasting my time thinking about it. I have a HF trailer that meets our needs but I do like the shape of this one.
  2. My thought process going into it was the healer decreased speed sensor readings by 7% while the gear swap increased rpm by 10% at any given speed making those comparisons outside the 4th gear range.
  3. Be careful of those questions. Them Eh Team members up there think slicing ham thin and throwing it on a pizza makes it bacon.
  4. This just popped up in my FB feed. https://www.facebook.com/groups/yamahaventure/permalink/8171402609568392/
  5. I’ve known for a while I needed to adjust my cables as the cruise would drop out on hills. I installed the new bars and used longer RSTD cables last week and lost cruise altogether, could feel it try but couldn’t pull it in. After re-routing the cruise cable multiple times I finally figured out the actuator that came on the cables had a small leak🤬🤬🤬. Swapped my old one in and POOF!!! It worked. That brings up my other idea. It’s well documented about some losing 4th gear cruise with the rear gear swap, Wiz and I talked about it in Asheville if the speedo healer was reprogrammed or unhooked if it would work. I had put the healer in before the VMax rear gear. Unhooked it and got 4th gear cruise back. Maybe I missed the info in the past or was too dense to retain it, but it seems to be why only some lost the cruise and others didn’t. I’ll gladly trade the corrected speedo to get my cruise back, we ride several 50-60 mph roads where I like cruise. Guess the healer goes into the spare parts cabinet now.

    SCORE!!!

The risers were all I was after. Hope I never do anything to need a new tree. 😄

    SCORE!!!

Maybe you should try it, one wheel behind the other tends to travel in one direction. 🤪🤪🤪

    SCORE!!!

Laying around today dealing with back pain and killing time on eBay, look what I found. I don’t need the tree but noticed the Baron’s risers. Couldn’t resist, don’t know if I’ll like em but at that price??? Anybody need the tree minus the risers? It’s yours
  9. The wing is a great bike, that being said I hate riding one. I have long legs and there’s no way to stretch em out on a wing. I do some maintenance on my sisters Goldwing trike, after a short test ride I can’t wait to get back to mine. My advice is test ride one and pay attention to leg comfort, if you like it the upside is there are tons of accessories out there for it.
  10. I always wack steel bolts in aluminum if they seem the least bit stuck. They’ll back right out 99% of the time.
  11. Forgot to update. Problem was a bad connection at the plug under the pillion seat. Moved the plug and it came to life. Cleaned and greased the plug, been working since then.
  12. Well I went with the Goldstrike which is a Ciro boxed for the Goldwing. The Honda dealer in Paducah had them in stock. I went with the smaller version which holds my 20oz Ozark Trail cups well and does drink bottles too. Bought one perch mount and a direct bolt on one for her arm rests. Both without chrome.
  13. My problem is I need a perch mount. The bar ends are too short to add clamps. I agree they are pricey but I’m not seeing good reviews on the cheaper models. If one good one outlasts two cheap ones I’m money ahead. EDIT. That could possibly work on the vertical part of the bars.

  15. If I only had the $$$ Back both have cost me. 💰💰💰💰💰
  16. Are you happy with the quality?
  17. I got my new bars installed and adjusted, think my shoulders are gonna love that. Thanks again @WIZ. The down side is my cup holder no longer fits on the bars. Looking at the Ciro and Kuryakyn models, leaning towards the Ciro as it’s a ball mount with more adjustment. They’re both perch mounted. Anybody used this one?https://www.amazon.com/Ciro-Holder-Chrome-Plated-50410/dp/B01KOOOE4E/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?crid=1Q5WOW46P0KIC&keywords=ciro+cup+holder&qid=1662760943&sprefix=%2Caps%2C847&sr=8-5&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.006c50ae-5d4c-4777-9bc0-4513d670b6bc
  18. Yes you can use both front calipers. @skydoc_17sells a complete delink kit to solve all the problems. He’s gone on vacation right now, he has a new grandson, but can fix you up.
  19. I spoke to Earl last week. He’s on vacation visiting his new grandson. He’s still in business but gone for a couple weeks. Great guy to do business with.
  20. Check grounds. A loose or dirty ground somewhere can have other circuits chasing ground through there. Check all safety switches and wiring on the start circuit, clutch, neutral safety switch, side stand. The clutch switch on the Venture has two sets of contacts, pulling the clutch closes the start circuit and opens the cruise control contacts.
  21. About done??? Are they ever done? I spent most of the day installing taller bars, longer cables, and all the parts I ordered during a weak moment in front of a Kuryakyn catalog. Grips, bosses, weights, footpegs with stirrups. Shoulder problems started this upgrade.
  22. All missing socks are reincarnated as extra Tupperware lids.
  23. A fix for all those missing 10mm’s. Ole Harbor Freight figured it out.
  24. I wholeheartedly agree. The proven reliability of the V4 and lack of vibration were big sellers for me in choosing the RSV. I like to make Harley jokes as much as anybody just as I do Fords, I also enjoy getting roasted about my Chevy’s and rice burner bikes but there’s nothing wrong with Harley or Ford if it’s what you like. That being said if I wanted a V-twin I’d have bought one instead of Yam. My other turn off is the addition of so much tech, I like to fix my own stuff but am a techno-phobe. I already gave up working on my truck but still like tinkering with the bike. I sure would’ve liked trying a new V-Max powered, fixed fairing, water cooled rocket without key fobs and touch screens. Maybe my old boss was onto something when he accused me of being resistant to change🤷🤷🤷
