  1. Baron’s sells a lowering kit for the rear of a 2nd gen, you can lower the front bey slide the forks up the triple tree.
  2. Probably so. I’ve been putting it off for several years, doc really wanted to do it last February. No way I was letting him kill my spring n summer riding and fishing. Maybe it’ll be just cold enough I won’t want to be out anyway.
  3. Congrats on the return. They opened me up Wednesday, sent me home Friday. My bike is on a stand winterized for the first time ever.
  4. I’m with ya Skid. This year was the 1st time Kandi could go with me to Asheville. I’ve been pointing out places we rode to her on the news footage. From Black Mountain, Biltmore Village, KOA, etc. I’m glad she got to go see it before this. Heartbreaking for those suffering over there.
  5. I saw video today of Gregg Biffle flying over Swannanoa, Black Mountain, and the KOA we were at last month for the Asheville Rally. Unreal!!!! The people still trapped in the mountains without supplies, water, medications, is heartbreaking.
  6. Did you look on Partzilla? That’s where I get my OEM parts.
  7. We’re in Gainesville, Fl at our daughter’s house. Luckily the bad stuff went all around us. Lots of tree damage/power outages around here but nothing catastrophic. We got more rain and damage from it back home in KY than my daughter’s townhouse complex got. The damage both North and South of us is unreal. Now they’re watching another disturbance forming in the same area Helene formed. It’s possible for another hit next week. I can’t imagine the destruction if it follows the same path.
  8. Shoot me a messsage as a reminder next week. We should be back home around 10/4 (see what I did there 😁). We’re in Florida fending off the hurricanes from our daughter’s house.
  9. Look on marketplace before you make an offer. A lot depends on whether you’re looking for a project or a bike to ride. I know it’s near no miles but low mileage 1st gen MKII (86-93) bikes are pretty available below 2k running. MKI’s have their following and are worth whatever you’re comfortable spending, MKII’s don’t have the 2nd gear or frame issues of the MKI. Both are an absolute blast to ride.
  10. Remember to do the air line first. Not a hard job to do.
  11. That’s what this one is for.
  12. Concerned about long distance riding after the upcoming back surgery I decided to buy a trailer just in case. Decided I didn’t really like it so I sold it and built my own. You don’t see too many 10’ trailers with a dovetail and tandem axles but that’s what I wanted. Ramp gate folds flat on the dovetail out of the wind.
  13. Got in 150 miles or so this morning with a local group.
  14. I’d like to come up there sometime. We’ll be in Florida that week to see the daughter.
  15. Congrats Phil.
  16. Hard to see in pic, the antenna lines up with your shelf track. Do you just need the section that attaches with Allen screws? I have one but haven’t tried to take it apart.
  17. Kuryakyn Longhorns.
  18. It should unscrew at the base. I’ll look at the set I have off a junk bike tomorrow but I seem to remember them being pretty rusty.
  19. Dfitzbiz@yahoo.com. Shoot him an email.
  20. Miles don’t mean much on these machines. A regularly ridden and maintained bike is worth more to me than one that has sat for years. There’s one local to me, a 2008 with less than 7k miles on it that he’s having trouble selling. Retail price plus going through all the rubber is a lot of work.

    Vogel 2025

I thought who was on 1st.
  22. What’s an Asheville?
  23. Go ahead. I was just thinking of adding them to my spare parts cabinet, I looked today and found a set I forgot I had.
  24. Possibly interested in the seats.
