I’ve never dealt with converters so it may be a dumb question, How does the converter price compare to changing the motor to a single phase?

A trick I use to find air leaks is to spray Walmart carb cleaner around the carbs. If there’s a leak you’ll hear it rev up. Some of the name brands don’t work as well as the cheap stuff for that. Are all 4 synch nipples capped? Just trying to run thru all the possibilities in my head and my head is a scary place to go.

Idle adjustment on a 2nd gen is a thumb wheel under and up against the tank on the right side. Make sure all 4 carbs are seated well into the intake boots and not sucking air, they can be very stubborn to get seated sometimes. Could the throttle cables be tight somewhere and not letting the carbs return to idle?

Lithium Battery

I’m far from knowledgeable on the subject but have read older stator/rectifier designs won’t correctly charge LI batteries. They require an updated charging system, I don’t know where the RSV fits in that timeline. I’m gonna have to replace mine in the near future, I’ll stick with AGM as I’ve gotten 3-5 years out of each one I’ve used. -
You might check with @M61A1MECH. He builds quality plug and play light harnesses but I’m not sure about horn sets. The main goal is to run a fused hot wire from the battery through a relay to power the horn. I built my own and used the factory wires to fire the relay.

I made the mistake of hosting the wife’s family dinner, a very small group. I seem to only be able to cook like it’s my family (35-40 people). There’s enough left over for a Venture rally supper. Now we get to go Saturday for the big one, at least we can leave the leftovers at my brother’s house.

Glad it’s not any worse. I watched Col Steve Austin as a kid, now I think a lot of us are becoming the new $6 million men. I’ve got the screws and anchors in my shoulder and a hardware store in my back according to the X-ray tech a couple weeks ago. This getting old stuff ain’t for sissies 😫
