I had my third Nexen darkside mounted this week. Gonna install the OEM final drive today to get ready for Vogel. Waiting on parts to rebuild the VMax pumpkin. Riding one up and not taking the trailer so the higher gear shouldn’t bother me too bad.

I did Skydoc’s full disc conversion and left the wire out about 50,000 miles ago. Hasn’t stranded me yet.

Are they the factory antennas? If so they’ll fold down. I bought some shorties if I can find the link I’ll post it.

I’ll have my cpap so I should be quiet, I have big shoes I can throw at Skid if I need to.

Found a flat rear tire, puncture in the middle of the tread. Pulled the wheel to find the pumpkin dumping gear oil. 🤬🤬🤬. New tire mounted and waiting for new bearings and seals for the final drive. All right before Vogel.

So it’s settled then.

I don’t know about DAB but I gutted the cassette case and installed USB ports and a volt meter from Amazon. I made a faceplate from ABS plastic sheet for the install and installed a Bluetooth receiver to stream music from my phone.

If we go to Boss Hoss Trikes we may cross the ferry at Springville.

I just signed in with my wife’s phone to try it, worked fine. Any chance you’re on a shared Wi-Fi @Du-Rron? I’ve had similar issues on Wi-Fi before.

Google is how I ended up here, every time I googled a problem on my 1st Gen it’d take me to VR. I read thru part of the site and realized none of the social media BS and name calling was going on here so I joined. 2 bikes and several VR rallies later still having fun.

Guy I worked with bet me $5 we wouldn’t last 3 years. I made him pay me at 3 years. His $5 bill has been in the frame of one of our wedding pictures for 27 years in May.

Well I found what I wanted at a better price. 2023 LT-1LT Z71 crew cab $12,000 below MSRP and they gave me a solid trade in on my truck. Getting hard to find chrome bumpers anymore, they want to paint them all. Had to drive 3 1/2 hours one way to get it.

We need to meet up some weekend for a meet and eat, maybe get @Ky. Ridertoo. We’re the only members in this area active on the site.

Haven’t used one on the bike but they’re very popular around here on fishing boats. (Deep cycle)

5amp fuse/circuit. I cut the plug off to wire in my Mic-Mutes.

Yeah I get those calls too, I trust them about as much as I trust the software that stops those calls🤣. I just considered trading before the warranty expires, the value drops faster after the warranty ends. The amount of technology in todays trucks worries me.

I’ve always been a Chevy guy and though I haven’t always bought new all my new ones were Chevy. I bought a new ‘21 Silverado in March of ‘21, the bumper to bumper is about up so I considered trading while it still has value. While the trade in offers were respectable the price of new has increased over 33% in 28 months on comparable trucks. I have a 2.1% interest on mine and they’re talking 7-9% now with excellent credit. Put those together and with 22% down my payment would go up 50%. I don’t know if this a push to go electric or what but I guess I’ll drive the wheels off what I’ve got. Depressing to be old enough to remember my first new full size single cab short bed set me back a whopping $12k.

I highly recommend it. I’ve been so busy since retirement I don’t know how I had time for two jobs all those years.

Make sure the oil isn’t mixed with gas. They either way overfilled it or the carb floats are sticking and filling the crankcase with gas. Read the oil level with bike standing straight up, not on the stand.
