  1. Well I found what I wanted at a better price. 2023 LT-1LT Z71 crew cab $12,000 below MSRP and they gave me a solid trade in on my truck. Getting hard to find chrome bumpers anymore, they want to paint them all. Had to drive 3 1/2 hours one way to get it.
  2. We need to meet up some weekend for a meet and eat, maybe get @Ky. Ridertoo. We’re the only members in this area active on the site.
  3. Haven’t used one on the bike but they’re very popular around here on fishing boats. (Deep cycle)
  4. 5amp fuse/circuit. I cut the plug off to wire in my Mic-Mutes.
  5. Yeah I get those calls too, I trust them about as much as I trust the software that stops those calls🤣. I just considered trading before the warranty expires, the value drops faster after the warranty ends. The amount of technology in todays trucks worries me.
  6. I’ve always been a Chevy guy and though I haven’t always bought new all my new ones were Chevy. I bought a new ‘21 Silverado in March of ‘21, the bumper to bumper is about up so I considered trading while it still has value. While the trade in offers were respectable the price of new has increased over 33% in 28 months on comparable trucks. I have a 2.1% interest on mine and they’re talking 7-9% now with excellent credit. Put those together and with 22% down my payment would go up 50%. I don’t know if this a push to go electric or what but I guess I’ll drive the wheels off what I’ve got. Depressing to be old enough to remember my first new full size single cab short bed set me back a whopping $12k.
  7. I highly recommend it. I’ve been so busy since retirement I don’t know how I had time for two jobs all those years.
  8. Make sure the oil isn’t mixed with gas. They either way overfilled it or the carb floats are sticking and filling the crankcase with gas. Read the oil level with bike standing straight up, not on the stand.
  9. Well, I would be there but I’d have to leave Tuesday to get there. 🤣
  10. Welcome to the greatest Venture site around. Go to the drop down menu and click community map, blow it up and zoom to your area to find members.
  11. Well, he did keep turning around.
  12. I would start with a good locksmith. We have one here that I have taken worn out keys to and he “reads” the key and makes a new one. Always work in the old cars I took him.
  13. If the carb rack has been apart I’d check that the choke (enricher) linkages are hooked up right.
  14. I don’t ‘ask” for time off, I tell the boss I won’t be here. Of course that means I sometimes have to sleep on the couch after I tell her. 🤣🤣🤣
  15. Thanks Don, it’s a never ending battle. I also got “banned” this morning.
  16. Don’t want to hear any no’s anyway. Like to see the whole crew again, it’s been a while.
  17. Such tragic news... John M. Furbur tragically passed away yesterday after he became unresponsive due to a medical issue while driving. He was a resident of Catasauqua. I also knew John....Thoughts and prayers go out to all his friends and loved ones... UPPER TULPEHOCKEN TWP., Pa - The man killed in Tuesday afternoon's crash on I-78 West has been identified as a resident of Catasauqua Borough, Lehigh County. The victim, 62-year-old John M. Furbur, became unresponsive due to a medical emergency while driving between the Shartlesville and Strausstown exits around 1 p.m., Pennsylvania State Police said. Furbur's vehicle went off the road, struck a parked tractor trailer and backhoe, then continued into the woods and struck a tree. I copied and pasted this from FB.
  18. Sorry to hear that. I never met John but did have a couple of phone conversations with him. Seemed like a straight up guy.
  19. I know this is way early but I’ve been pretty bummed I couldn’t get another get together going here this year. Between my back and the wife’s knee (she had surgery last week) I just couldn’t pull it off. I looked at a different site a whole 2 miles from last years and way cheaper to rent with some campsites on-site. I’m really thinking of making it a 4-5 day event. The first few days mainly riding with Friday evening and Saturday more visiting. It’s about a 30-45 minute ride over to tour Hannigan’s Trike factory and 2 hour ride to tour the Boss Hoss trike factory. Some rides may go to Garden of the Gods in Illinois, the West Tenn Dragon down to the ferry on the way to Boss Hoss (scenic route) or a couple other ideas I have. I’ve retired since last year and she’s retiring in May so we’ll have the time to pull it off better this time. I’m thinking June 4th or 5th through the 9th. So after that long winded intro the main purpose is to gauge interest. The site is on the side of KY Lake in the federal wildlife preserve Land Between the Lakes. Pavilion with power, water, lights and restrooms. Campgrounds, lodge, cabins, and motels all within a couple miles. Stores nearby and about 20 minutes from Murray, KY where you find Walmart, parts stores, etc. Chime in to show interest in attending so I can determine if it’s feasible to go this big. I’d like to maybe see some of the Eh Team Canucks make it too.
  20. As bad as that is I’m glad you weren’t on the bike, could’ve been bad. That being said I’d like to wring the neck off of people like that.
  21. Did it ever stop?🤣🤣
  22. @skydoc_17is the guy to talk to, he has a fuse box replacement kit to get rid of the glass fuses and loose connections.
