  1. Thank you sir !!!! Yes, they are available and in stock !!!!
  2. I don't know, but, Im going check right now !!!
  3. I brought my 2005 RSTD in to the dealer last Thursday, having the carbs completely cleaned, rebuilt, and synchronized. Called me the next day, saying the carbs were indeed gunked up, but, that they had checked brakes, suspension , tires. Tires were 75% used up, so I ordered tires while they have it, so they can go on and take care of that. Was told the bike will be ready Saturday 4/8/17 to pick up. I get a call this morning from the dealer, telling me, the carb drain plugs are on back order, and won't be in to 4/20/17 ! I wasn't real happy, however, I know sh*t happens. But, I saw an opening ...... I said well........ you told me the bike would be ready Saturday, and now I have to wait 2 1/2 weeks, I think a little compensation should be given. Dealer told me, due to the delay, even though they didn't know the parts were back ordered, that rather than have an unsatisfied customer, they'd NOT charge me anything to mount and balance my new tires I'm bringing them to install. Nice to have a shop, that cares enough about their customers, to try and keep their business !!!!
  4. I do not remember the name, but, I had one like the first picture you posted, when I was a kid. had 3 wheeler tires on it. Had a lot of fun on that thing !!!!
  5. So, looking around at slip ons today. Of course, the lack of options with direct fit, is pitiful. I found these, and like the looks of them. Have any of the members her, had any experience with them.? They look like mounting would be a snap, being as the hanger clamp is not permanent, they are designed to set the angle like you want, so, could probably slide the hanger back toward the stock RSTD mounts. They are 1 3/4 inching, which is what I think our stock head pipes are. http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/la-choppers-4-slash-slip-on-mufflers-for-harley-touring-1995-2016#ask_and_answer_tab
  6. My name comes from when I was 18. I was Dj'ing at at teen club. We happened to buy a huge load of scrap neon from someone, and during the week, someone put up a red " DANGER " sign over my Dj booth. The kids started calling me Dj Danger. Hard to believe it's been 30 years ago !!! lol
  7. Same issue I noticed on mine today, rear 2 cylinders not hitting, fire on both plugs. Pull the choke out, and the back 2 cylinders kick in. I'm taking her into the mechanic Friday, to have all 4 of the carbs rebuilt, synced, and tuned.
  8. The local shop here in Baton Rouge , has a 10 year policy, but, it is on a case by case basis. After looking my 2005 over, they said they would be MORE than happy to perform any work on it. They say a lot of people have tried to bring in REALLY neglected bikes, and it works out to be nothing but trouble for them.
  9. Where is the horn located on the left side of the bike on a 2005 royal star tour deluxe?
  10. Got ya. I changed mine last weekend, and have them at .039. I am going to pull them back out tomorrow and regap at .035 I believe.
  11. What are you guys, gapping your plugs at? The manual says .031-.035 , but I saw online somewhere, .038-.042...... I know I should follow the manual, but being a new royal star owner, though I'd gather opinions.
  12. Any Idea if a company makes chrome air boxes for the tour deluxe (second Gen) ?
  13. I have had My Royal Star 2 weeks today. It is amazing the compliments I have gotten on it. Even a couple of Harley riders commented on it yesterday !!! I am really enjoying the bike !!!!
