FlyinFool,, You are partially right,,In that deer dont react to passing cars/bikes because they have heard them before,, But because they ignore approaching vehicles also means they are not aware of them.Which is not good,, Second,, they Wont become "used to" the sound/whistle of Deer Screamer, cause they dont hear it often enough. Until at least have the vehicles are using them,,and that should take some time. Also,, this sound doesnt "startle" or scare them,,making then bolt,, it just makes them curious., and look at You as you pass,, which in my opinion, is what you want. Again,, these are Not Ultra Sonic whistles,, they are Audible,, and actually work,, Thanks for posting,, Ride Safe!!!

Jim,, Thanks so much for posting something positive about Deer Screamer,,, So you know, I am the manufacturer and owner of DS. I gave a bunch of whistles to Southern Biker Mag, for them to test. I didnt pay him at all, thus he had No reason to fabricate his test results, which lasted 3 mths, before he wrote his article. I have been riding for about 35yrs,, and had used the Ultra Sonic whistles back in the day. I Never saw any reactions to those whistles,,as I have with my Deer Screamer. Mainly because the Sonics do Not work.. Most likely because deer cant hear them,,the whistle is so high pitched,,it get past the sound of even a motorcycle's engine sound. All I know is,, Deer Screamers really work,, I really appreciate your post,, so much that If you are near Raleigh, NC,, Id be happy to meet you, and Give you one free,, Thanks again,,, Bill
