  1. Me too, 25 yr old Suzuki Madura, shock never leaked a drop of oil:think:
  2. Mine went at 26k miles, dealer replaced it under warranty, only took them an hour or so. I rode mine with a bad shock for a couple months, I doubt it will strand you anywhere. Craig
  3. Gotta agree with everything you said, thats why I bought mine, and dont forget its the only used bike you will find with the balance of a 5 year warranty for free!! Craig
  4. The only time I get to Fla. is when I visit Mickey and Minnie, but I just mite take ya up on your offer, I have lots to learn:bowdown: Craig
  5. I joined a couple months before the crash, this place has become a major part of my life, and I thank Don for the amazing way he manages this site. I dont really do alot of tinkering on my bike, I like to hit the button and ride, but I have learned so much from this site, some about motorcycles but mostly about people, and life. I have made some really great friends, unfortunately I dont get to see them nearly enough, looking forward to MD already. Craig

    Hiyas!!

Yea but did ya have the reverb mounted under the tape deck:rasberry:
  11. Think I paid around $300 with drivers backrest, If ya buy the one from Pinwall and dont like it, I will buy the passenger B/rest from ya:080402gudl_prv: Craig
  12. I had the pillow tops on my 06, was always very comfortable, we could easily do 500 mile days, never had a problem with that seat, but since I am vertically challenged I am always looking for ways to get my @ss closer to the ground. Found a corbin seat in Chicago that the guy had padding taken out of drivers area to lower it and padding put in riders area to make more comfortable, perfect setup for me as I knew my wife wouldnt like a hard corbin seat! So I gave it a shot, we are both very happy with it, I have done an 850 mile day with no discomfort at all, and it is hard as a rock, and she is good for 500-600 miles. I do have the backrest, first time I ever had a backrest in 40 yrs of riding and I do like it. I disagree with the others tho, everyone claims you need 1000-1500 miles to break in the seat, I think the seat breaks in your @ss:think: Too bad ya dont live closer I would let you borrow mine for a week to try it out. Look around for a cheap used one, if ya dont like it you can sell it and get most of your $$$ back, I am still looking for a deal on the corbin passenger backrest, anybody have one???? Craig
  13. Me too:thumbsup:
  14. I thought that was you, jumping for joy over the new job:think: Craig

  18. Thanks for the update Lowell, hopefully things will just keep getting better Take care of yourself, look forward to seeing you again. Craig
  19. Looked great to me, Craig
  20. 5th is an overdrive, if you are running at 55-65 mph 2up on any type of grade it wont take a throttle roll on and will lug. You need to keep the revs up, try down shifting to 4th or 3rd, you can easily do 75 in 3rd. You may have another problem or you may just not be revving it enuff, wont cost you any time or $$$ to try downshifting. Good luck, Craig
  21. Buy a cheap lite cover on ebay, covers the whole bike, no one knows that the windsheild comes off, also keeps your seat dry and keeps the bike clean. I always cover my bike when I travel:080402gudl_prv: Craig
  22. Great Pics:thumbsup: Thanks, Craig
  23. I spent 4 months in Brooklyn Hts, while my Dad was in the hospital. I actually enjoyed the area, never felt unsafe, and I walked all over by myself. Lots of great little rest. nice little corner bars, and most of the people I met were very helpful. Dont think I would want to spend my life up there, but I did think it would be neat to spend a year or 2 there. Long Island College Hospital definetly sux, but thats a whole different story:bang head: Craig
  24. Great Pics, Thanks
