  1. Guess I am 190 if I am looking at it rite. Was just reminising in my head the other day about all the members that have come and gone. A lot of great stories and a boatload of knowledge. Thanks Don, you truly created something special. Craig
  2. Great Idea Don, sorry to say I doubt I have 100 miles on this year. Still have the trike and it looks great on the trailer:doh: Also have the Madura all shined up and ready to roll. Health and family issues have tied up most of this year. Hopefully next year will be alittle better. Hang in there Tooch it gets better, I promise. Craig
  3. Sorry to hear about the Parkinsons, hope it isnt disrupting your life too much just yet. Sorry I dont know how bad stage 3 is? Take Care and welcome back, Craig
  4. Will shake at slow speeds, its the nature of the beast. I havent seen a hannigan rsv with a stabilizer. I know when I rode Jonseys Hannigan Wing it did the same thing. If you find a solution I would really like to hear about it. Craig
  5. Is choke hanging up? Making bike run rich and gas smell, it is on the left side? Craig
  6. Congrats on all fronts, next year you will look back and laugh. Enjoy the new adventure, its gonna be great! Craig
  7. Glad to hear you got the chance to enjoy the new bike, I agree with all your comments, especially on 1st gear. When I test road one at Pioneer last year I couldnt believe how quickly you hit the rev limiter in 1st, almost like they didnt even need 1st gear. It was a beautiful riding bagger and if I was ever in the market for a new 2 wheeler, it would be the one. I am sure the more you ride it the more you will enjoy it. Craig
  8. So very sorry for your loss, I cant even imagine the pain you are feeling. You will be in our thoughts at this difficult time, it may help to vent on the site rather then abandon it. All the best at this brutally unfair time... Craig
  9. You need to lookup Starfan from Iceland, he gets over to Norway quite a bit for work. Has a hopped up tour delux and I am sure he can help with alot of your questions. Great guy and he knows these bikes inside out. Tell him "Craig the Shipper" sent ya. Craig

    Baja?

Yep, I remember that story well, pretty much did what you were thinking about doing. If I remember rite he left in the snow and documented the whole trip. I dont remember him having any problems with shady characters, he did have some bike issues tho. It was a great ride to follow. Craig
  11. Glad to hear you are enjoying the trike, the more you ride it the more you will like it! Craig
  12. Kim and I made it home safe and sound, another great rally! Want to THANK everyone in the NY crew that has given their time over the years to make this an awesome event! Would also like to THANK Terry and Michelle for all their generosity over the years, their sponsorship has made this party possible and they work tirelessly to make every detail just rite. I wish them nothing but the very best, in their next adventure. It was great seeing old friends again, and nice to meet some new ones as well. Cant thank "Wiz" enough for getting the trike up and running. On a different note would like to comment on the send off Bob recvd, It was one of the most moving services I have ever seen. The Patriot Guard Riders showed up in full gear, and treated everyone with kindness and respect. This amazing group made sure Bob was treated to the ultimate send off on his last ride. The whole ceremony sent chills thru your body and had every hair on your neck standing straight up. We celebrated Bob's life and laughed at some of his adventures all weekend long. Carl, Ben, Ron and Ron all pitched in to help Becky with ideas and repairs. A true testament to just how great this family is. Thanks again, and looking forward to next year already! Craig & Kim
  13. I have had the same problem a few times, I found that only putting 4 gal. of gas in that tank stops leaking on floor. I believe the tank is only designed to hold 4 gal. not to be filled up. Craig
  14. Sorry for your loss Lewis, but I am sure you have some great memories and stories that will help put a smile on your face. So true about keeping in touch with old friends. Take Care, Craig
  15. I think thats " Whatchu talkin bout Willis" and you know what I am talkin bout!! See ya soon!
  16. RIP Bob, Sorry that you had to leave us so soon... Craig & Kim
  17. RIP Bob, I am sure the other Venture riders that went before you, will be waiting for you with open arms. Hopefully Becky can find comfort in the memories of all your great adventures together. You surely will be missed. Craig & Kim
  18. And you are still thinking about coming????? JK, you will have a great time, in spite of what they said at MD Craig
  19. So very sorry to hear this, hopefully Bob can turn things around and start to recover. Both Bob and Becky are in our thoughts. Craig & Kim
  20. Let the Drs figure it out, hopefully its something simple and they get you back in the saddle soon. Take care, Craig
  21. Hey Taters, great to hear from you again, been way too long. We are really hoping to make another gummy bear run with you guys in Aug. fingers crossed it all works out. Take Care and hope you are feelin better. Craig
  22. Sorry I didnt take any pics when I did mine, but if you take some pics of original mounting points of old headlite, measure how far headlite needs to be from mounting points. Then cut, using a dremel thru the spot welds on old headlite frame. Measure and reattach mounting points to new frame, I used pop rivits. I know it sounds complicated but if you take your time and think it thru its not that bad. I needed to take the chrome ring off outer fairing and cut into fairing headlite opening in 2 spots, when you reattach chrome ring it covers cuts. Slipped fairing back on to trial fit, then remove finish up wiring, re-adjust headlite and you are finished. Afternoon job if your handy with tools. Good Luck Craig
  23. I had a very good friend that owned that exact bike, rock solid, ran like a top. He could beat my Madura in the twisties but I would blow rite by him in a straight line. We rode all over the East coast and he never had any problems, and he could do an amazing burnout on that thing, you didnt want to be behind him at a lite:yikes:. RIP Bill Craig
  24. Wouldnt listen to me anyway:stickpoke:
  25. Beautiful ride, I have done it a few times. Thanks, Craig
