  8. Well we made it back to the "real" world safe and sound. It was the trip of a lifetime for us and we enjoyed every minute. Jonas and Greta were the perfect hosts and made the whole experience seamless, we are really lucky to have such wonderful friends. Thanks to everyone who commented and followed our adventure. The whole time I was there I kept wondering how I could explain the country when we got home, all I can think of is "Rugged and Unspoiled" the varying landscapes change as often as the weather, the scenery is amazing. If you ever get the chance to see Iceland, Do It!
  9. The food has been great, we aren't going to lose any weight that's for sure. Excellent chicken dinner last nite. Icelandic pizza the nite before. As good as any I have had. The hot dogs are great and we had a great leg of lamb. Way too many snacks
  10. Hey I am behaving just fine, Jonas on the other hand has a little trouble with Do Not Enter signs luckily we haven't been locked up yet. Beautiful nite on the lake, Wild Horse,Wild Goose, and Whale wonderfully prepared.
  11. Doesn't get much better than this
  12. Sorry we haven't been able to post, Jonas is keeping us way too busy, what an amazing place, the scenery is awesome, waterfalls, glaciers and mountains everywhere. Heated public pools and great food:thumbsup

  14. Great Pics, thanks for sharing, I hope to get out west in the next year or 2, I mite need to pic your brain for ideas. Craig
  15. It is beautiful down there! Glad you had a great ride:thumbsup: Craig
  16. Got onto a gravel road by accident in Vermont, I was going uphill and the road wasnt wide enuff for me to turn around on. It was a construction zone with a newly laid stone bed, compacted and oiled, I figured it would only last for a mile or 2, wrong!! It went on for about 10 miles till it turned back to blacktop. It wasnt any fun but it was doable, dont think I would want to try it heading down hill though:think: Craig
  17. Hope all went well, and your sight will be restored:fingers-crossed-emo waiting for good news. Craig
  18. $$$$$ sent, Thanks Monty!
  19. Very sorry to hear of your wifes passing, wishing you all the best at this difficult time. Craig
  20. Kim, Loves her Altimas, she is on her 2nd one. great little car never any trouble at all. Craig
  21. Nope, that route is pretty much the route I was discribing. 209 will be mostly 2 lane blacktop, 61 is 4 lanes and 2 lanes, but isnt crazy, 222 bypasses Reading which is what you want to do, but Reading is a very small city, it will take you 5min to go around Reading. Rt 10 is 2 lane also. Nice winding roads thru some pretty country. Let me know when you are coming thru, If we are home we will put you up for the nite and feed ya, or I can meet and ride part of the way with you. Craig
  22. Guess it depends how far West you are willing to go to avoid the cities. You could take 209 down thru the Poconos, visit the Jim Thorpe area, down thru the Pa coal regions to Reading area, then south thru Lancaster county and Pa Dutch country. cross into MD and then back roads into Del. 896 or 213. Its alot farther out of your way then a straight shot thru NJ. but you would ride thru some interesting areas. Craig
  23. Would like 2, Thanks for taking this on. Craig
  24. Well I am glad you made it to MD and it was great meeting you and the Mrs. you hid that back pain pretty well as I had no idea you were hurting. Wish you all the best for a positive outcome and a speedy recovery, see ya next year at MD:080402gudl_prv: Craig
  25. :ice_congrats-vi6886Hope you enjoy many more!! Craig
