  1. Wanted this beautiful "Red" bicycle in Pep Boys window when I was about 10yrs old, Dad said he would match everything I earned toward buying it. So my first job was emptying my aunts wash tubs that set next to the ringer washer. 25cents each, then collected newspapers and rags and took them to the rag shop, got my bike by the end of summer. At about 14 got a morning paper route, set up bowling pins 3 nites a week and worked at Kerns Sunoco on weekends, guess that explains why I never made it to college?? Been working ever since, from construction, to a rolling mill operator in a Beryllium plant, to a Clean room worker at At&T, mens and ladies clothing cutter, worked a draw block at a copper tube plant, you name it I did it. Craig
  2. I am starting to feel the way you do when it comes to riding around my area. I have been riding all over these roads for over 45yrs and its getting old. I do still really enjoy going on trips though, getting far away from home and exploring new areas. We took off to NY in the pouring rain, something I never do, but I wanted to take the bike and once the weather cleared on friday I was glad we did. We both really enjoyed the trip but we both had more aches and pains then last year. By the time we got home I was thinking I really need to get in better shape if I want to take that cross country trip thats on my bucket list. Dont think I am ready to hang it up just yet, but it isnt fun 100% of the time, like it used to be. You really put alot of miles a year on your bike Eck, maybe its just time to take alittle break. All the best in whatever you decide, Craig
  3. Congrats!!! and Enjoy!! Craig
  4. Glad you are ok Kristjan, hopefully you dont discover any injuries once you are home. Look forward to seeing you guys again next year and hopefully sooner. Take care, Craig
  5. We got home around 3:30 Beautiful ride home! Want to send out a BIG THANK YOU to Pioneer Motorsports and all the folks from NY that work so hard to put on this awesome party!! The venue is perfect, the people are great, the food was delicious and the band did rock! Also wanted to thank everyone who was kind enough to let me demo their rides, really enjoyed them all. Sign us up for next year!! Craig & Kim
  6. We are on our way, hopefully we can dodge a few storms:rain2: Craig
  7. Congrats!! Hope you two enjoy many more years together. Craig
  8. I think its ok to have alittle play in that front cowling, there were alot of folks who had that cowling replaced under warranty for cracking, It would crack from the one fastener outward. Craig
  9. Did the Vikings invade yet!
  10. See ya next thurs. afternoon!! Cant wait!! Craig
  11. Hey Puc, hang in there, hopefully they get you straightened out soon and you can get back out in the wind! Take care, Craig
  12. Getting them down aint hard, getting them out, now thats going to be an event! Unless you have a tow truck:think: Craig
  13. Well Eck, I dont know what Jonesy helped you fix, but I second the fact that he is a great guy!! Helped me out on a few occasions too! Craig
  14. Just ordered the Baggershield, so I guess this is next... Thanks, Craig
  15. I have the Clearveiw XL with vent on my 06 for at least 5yrs, no complaints at all. Still looks great with very few blems. I clean it with Honda Polish. No experience with the F4. I just ordered the Baggershield wanted to be able to take top off in rain, instead of looking thru Clearveiw, anxious to see how it works. Craig
  16. WOW!! Just really glad to hear you two walked away from that one! Hope you can get the bike squared away without battling with the Ins Co. Take care and tell Lonna bleach mite help when you clean your shorts:yikes: Craig
  17. I am sure you are rite about the correct height for YOU, but I am not the only one on the bike 90% of the time, so passenger comfort= taller windshield. Craig
  18. I have the same problem with the clearveiw, I just ordered the Baggersheild going to see if that works? Can take top half off in rain and see over shield. They are having a sale rite now also. Craig
  19. Corbin with Backrest, once you try it you will never ride long distance without it. Craig
  20. Well I have never been to an International, only because I only have the time for so many bike trips a year. MD is a must for us, the people and the proximity are the draw and its always the best way to start our summer. We look forward to the NY rally for the same reasons, see old friends hopefully make some new ones and its a day ride for us. I am sure its alot of work to host an event and I try to Thank everyone involved and let them know how much we appreciate their effort. I wonder if we could make it easier to host? I really dont need another t-shirt, patch or pin. Really dont need a door prize or grand prize. Just as easy to drive to a restaurant and pay my own bill, like we do at Quaker Steak and Lube. Wonder if we could find a motel/campground that suits our needs, and run things alittle "looser" like the Asheville meet. Mite make things alittle easier for the organizers and a bit more affordable for participants. Then if its not a huge showing, no biggie the people that come will have a great time, and isnt that all that really matters? My vote is to keep things simple. Craig
  21. Ding Ding, I think we have a winner!!!!! ok show up at the NY Rally and I will buy ya an Ice Cream Sundae! Its a rear veiw mirror gm, not sure about the van, but close enuff. Craig
  22. Don, I am sure the Yamahas will serve you well, at the time the Seadoo XP was the fastest thats why I bought it and it ran and held up well. Have no idea who is rated tops rite now? Hope you have many trouble free hrs on the water, we used to enjoy checking out the bars and rest. on the water. Craig
  23. Very cool! You guys are going to have a blast! and 55-60 on the water is plenty fast enuff. Get yourself a decent wetsuit and you can ride into November. Ride safe, Craig
  24. Yea basically its a pc of black leather thrown over the battery:yikes::yikes:
