  1. Sticky Notes are your friend!! I have them everywhere! Only way I can remember anything is to write it down. Craig
  2. I guess I am looking at it differently? I would never "gamble" that everything was going to work out just fine, while my 6yr old son was flying down the road on a 600 lb bike in his shorts and t-shirt. Maybe everything will work out fine, but I would never take that risk with his life. It bothers me to take my grandkids 12 and 14 for rides, I am over cautious at all times because I know how quickly something can happen and how seriously they can be hurt and they are way too young to realize the danger they are in. I would not be able to live with myself if something went wrong. I agree with you Jonas, nothing cool about "cool Dad" I also remember the incident with the kid and the UZI, another "gamble" that went horribly wrong. Craig
  3. RIP Jonesy, I hope you are freakin riding pain free and knees in the breeze. Really going to miss our talks... Craig
  4. Sad to report Jonesy has passed away. So very sad to hear this news! I'm in shock and heartbroken! Jonesy was always so kind to me in the time I've known him. Please accept my heartfelt condolences! Jonesy and family are in my thoughts and prayers! Attached Images Leo (Jeannette) 09 RSV Black on Red with Hannigan trike conversion
  5. Very sorry to hear this, Jonesy was a great guy! He would go out of his way to help in any way he could. Want to offer our condolences to Linda and his family, he will be missed... All the best at this difficult time, Craig
  6. If it was lowered with the Barrons kit, the rear brake caliper will be relocated under the axle with a triangular plate. Craig
  7. Thanks again for all you do Don, wondering if it wouldnt be easier to just add new photos to tech articles as they are requested/needed. When someone has a question or needs a pic. I am sure someone can help them and upload a new pic. Hate to see you have to spend hrs and hrs to redo all the pics. I recently had a question and couldnt find pics, I contacted Ragtop and he was kind enough to send me pics and all the help I needed. Craig
  8. Its looking great Eck, bet you cant wait for your first ride! Craig
  9. Happy Birthday!! Way to much snow around here to think about cutting grass yet. When I turned Sixty I bought myself an ExMark Zero turn, I wish I would have done it 10yrs sooner, it actually makes cutting grass fun! Craig
  10. I think next time you need to turn up the heat in the room! Was dealing with some serious "shrinkage" couldnt stay long...
  11. I think 5 yrs on a bike battery is pretty good, I wouldnt expect it to last much longer then that. We do put our bikes up for the winter here so maybe long periods of just sitting shorten their lives. On a side note my work truck a 2005 gmc 3500 still has the original battery and starts effortlessly on 10F days, thats 11yrs and still going strong. The deka plant is rite up the road from me and probably one of our areas largest employers. Craig
  12. Ya do know that you are supposed to keep off-road riding and jumps to a minimum on the RSV, rite ;-) Craig
  13. Yep, I would much rather have top heavy and 200hp Vmax engine, then that ugly looking prototype. They would have to put alot of chrome on that thing to get me to take a second look. Craig
  14. Congrats! and Thank You for your service. I think I would be looking at a 2nd career/hobby that would be alot easier on your body. All that income is no fun if you arent feeling good enough to enjoy it. Maybe take all your years of experience in that field and do some type of consulting work? Rather then re-inventing the wheel, take what you know and look for a niche business to apply it? You would be your own boss, own hrs. Best of luck in whatever you do. Craig
  15. Will keep him in our thoughts, Miracles do happen... Take care, Craig
  16. Thinking of you today Jonesy, hope today was a "freakin" good day for you! Take care, Craig
  17. Guess I better start working on my Tan!! Craig
  18. 32" here, she sure is a cutie! Bring her up here and I will show her how to make a real snow fort!! Craig
  19. Will keep them both in our thoughts, and you as well Ricky for a positive outcome in your fight against this awful disease. Stay strong... Craig
  20. Remember that tiger tail, when you had to have a "tiger in your tank" Yep green stamps were a big thing around here too, still have a couple old books full. I always think about how back then you would have never even thought about getting anything to eat at a "gas station" now you can get just about anything you want when you stop for gas? Times have really changed. Guy would pull in with a nail in his tire and we would drag out the plug kit and fix it rite at the pump, try that now?? Pop a new set of wiper blades on while they got gas too. Craig
  21. Just came in from trying to clear the driveway, have easy 30" across driveway but it is blowing so hard its hard to tell how much came down. Its laying as fast as I can blow it off. Worst storm I can remember in awhile. with the wind its a whiteout. Going to be a long day tomorrow. Just hope that ole Ariens keeps running!! Ok Jeff, turn it off, its all fun and games till the little guy has a heart attack!!
  22. Ya just mite see mine down there? but the twisties will probably be more fun on 2 wheels for me? One of my all time favorite rides was chasing Skid and Riderduke up a mtn road down there!! Craig
  23. I just remember everyone that came in got $2 bucks worth, think 200 sunoco was .29 gal. at the time.
  24. Started working at a Sunoco station when I was 14, worked weekends. Like you said full service for every customer, remember running around like a nut with 4 cars at the pumps. Stabbing those oil cans with the pour spout, and looking all over the place for the gas caps on the different cars. The one hidden behind the tail lites on the 56 chevy, or the front fender on the corvairs?? Ahh those were the good ole days!! Craig
  25. Did ya check to see the choke isnt still on or is hanging up? Just thinking out loud? Craig
