  1. Yep, talk to Larry, his stuff makes the install a breeze. Craig
  2. When my daughter got her license I thought she deserved a little gift, so I got her a garmin nuvi for her car. She really loved it... untill the day she returned from a trip to see her boyfriend in College. The neat thing about that garmin is it keeps track of a whole lot of data, including miles traveled etc etc. It also records top speed, and hers happened to be 105mph on that trip. She was the same as your daughter, good girl, sensible, great grades, but unfortunately she got my "need for speed" gene. We had alittle talk and never saw that top speed above 70 again. Good Luck, Craig
  3. For any of the new members, St Judes is our Un-Official VentureRiders Charity. Lewis aka Dragonrider has been working tirelessly for years trying to raise as much $$$$$ for the Kids at St Judes as he can. So anytime he runs an auction or sale you can be sure all your donations are going to a great cause, so please bid early and often!! Every little bit helps so please support Lewis and the Kids if you can. Thanks, Craig
  4. In the pics it looks pretty cool!! Neat lookin little Bobber! I am no paint and body man, but I wonder if a couple coats of matt clear and then wetsand would smooth it out? Craig
  5. I tore mine 15yrs ago. They wanted to operate but being self employed I put it off. I am rite handed and it was my left shoulder. Never had it operated on, I just "baby" it as much as possible. Most times I dont have much pain unless I do something foolish and aggravate it. It has limited some things, but unless the pain got alot worse I doubt I would ever get it operated on. I dont know how our level of damage compares, you may have a major tear, while mine is not quite as bad, but 2 surgeons recommended operating and I chose not to. Good luck with your decision. Craig
  6. Are Gerald and Ramona OK where they are? Craig

  15. Still following you guys on the blog, it looks/sounds like it has been an amazing trip. Hope to do it one day myself, would love to see the final map of the roads you traveled. I am a bit surprised at the cold temps, would not have expected that this time of year, but then again I am from the hot & humid philly area. Enjoy the ride, Craig
  16. Evan, sorry to hear about your crash, but really glad you were not seriously hurt!! These bikes are pretty tough, hopefully you can get her fixed up. If not I hope you can find a really nice 1st gen to replace her. Take care, Craig
  17. Hey Mini, we missed you guys!!!
  18. Jeff, I am having the same problem with my 07, how many miles do you have on yours? Thanks, Craig
  19. Bike fired rite up and we left MD, ran great till we stopped for gas, filled up hit the starter "DEAD" nothing but a slight click. 2 guys gave us alittle push and it started rite up, trikes kick start really easy!!!! Bike ran great till we are winding our way thru the twisties on PA turnpike, I am in the passing lane heading up a hill at 75mph and she dies, work my way to shoulder, its 4ft wide and guardrail with steep drop off. We both jump on other side of rail as the trucks go flyin by. We were not at a good spot!! Got ahold of Don and he got ahold of Skydoc who was about 1.5hrs behind us. Decided to get it towed off tpk because we were not going to be able to work on it there, so off to Somerset. They dropped me in the Adv auto parking lot. Pulled battery, when in and bought 2 new incase in was the stator. Earl figured we had about 75miles before we would die again if it was the stator. Bike fired rite up and ran great... all the while we are waiting for it to die again. We hit the first tunnel on the tpk, no shoulder whatsoever and if this thing dies I aint gonna have any tail lites, was a scary feeling!!! 3 tunnels to go. On the next one I pulled over before the tunnel and shut the bike off, had Kim alittle excited and not in a good way LOL. I figured if the battery wouldnt restart bike I wasnt gonna try to make it into tunnel, but it fired rite up and we made it all the way home on that battery no problems, I did pull the headlite fuse tho. Hopefully it was just a bad battery and not the stator. First time any Venture left us on the side of the road, guess I cant complain. Craig
  20. We made it home safely, other then the time spent on the rollback and in Advance Auto parking lot, we made pretty good time:scared: Craig
  21. This forum and your MD are a very special "thing" and there are very few people who can make something like this happen. The reason people keep coming is because they totally enjoy themselves and always feel welcome. You and Eileen are great hosts and the fact you get so much enjoyment out of doing it, shows!! Thanks, Craig & Kim
  22. Thank You Don and Eileen, it was a beautiful weekend and you both should be very proud (and tired)! You guys do an amazing job of hosting this family reunion and Kim and I look forward to it every year. Its pretty hard to beat that "honeymoon suite" it made our 35th pretty special. Thanks for the help in getting us home after our breakdown too! Its a really good feeling to know if you have a problem out on the road help is just a phone call away, A big THANK YOU to Earl as well for helping us get her running. Thanks again, Craig & Kim
  23. Hey Chuck, if you have an extra set after Don gets his, let me know. Thanks, Craig
